How come as a seeker it takes 18 minutes to find someone but if your the two leaders it estimates 2 minutes? Shouldn’t they be about the same. And why does it still say beta they haven’t touched it the whole time as far as I can tell.
Edit: I just want to clarify I am not a new comer to this franchise and don’t need to be carried I just have no one to play with because my friends say destiny is for kids and pubg is for men

1 ResponderIt’s not used because it’s not what ppl wanted. People wanted regular matchmaking, since D1. If randoms can do escalation protocol together, they can do a f’n Nightfall. Smh.
-
1 ResponderIt’s Bungie’s answer to requested matchmaking. Instead of adding matchmaking or an in-game lobby, you get guided games. Don’t expect it to make any sense, it’s Bungie. Ask for a lower ttk, you get more power ammo. Ask to be more powerfull as guardians, Bungie: blackout, glass and renown. Anytime Bungie comes with alterations, they remind me of the Project Management Tree: link

1) Prestige activities being barred is -blam!-ing stupid, make them available too. 2) Nightfall would DEFINITELY be doable via regular matchmaking, so just add matchmaking for it. 3) The emphasis on clans is -blam!-ing stupid. You got friends in different clans? Can't play with them in Guided Games. You not part of a clan yourself? Can't do Guided Games at all. Remove all clan-based restrictions for Guided Games and it would be a whole lot smoother. Less restrictions on who you can guide with means more guides, more guides means less wait times for seekers. Everybody wins.

I think it sucks, but the reason I think it sucks is different. If you’re running a guided games and you get an error code that boots you to orbit you get the oath breaker debuff which prevents you from rejoining then game. So your other clan mate and the seeker are forced to finish it with 2 or quit.
-
Because the pool of lookers is bigger than the pool of helpers. Frankly, the Normal NF should just take of a pool of Seekers and throw a team together because its 270 with no Modifiers. It's easier than a Heroic atm. Wait, thats Matchmaking.... Prestige should be the Guided Game, since you actually have to communicate a bit more etc, and you cant really MM because of the Challenge Card. Either way, they haven't touched it since they re-did NFs with the Challenge Cards etc and its just broken AF now.
-
Normal nf should just be matchmaking.
-
Does anyone think the overall game still just sucks? THAT is the question.
How come as a seeker it takes 18 minutes to find someone but if your the two leaders it estimates 2 minutes? Shouldn’t they be about the same. And why does it still say beta they haven’t touched it the whole time as far as I can tell.
Of course it sucks it's nothing but a half assed solution to a problem they do not want to fix : matchmaking. Here's how they thought people would treat it: Clanless guardian X will use GG to hook up with a clan and do nightfall or the raid and then bungie assumes that the clan will then say hey want to join us? Guardian X joins , and from there Bungie further assumes that they will be so busy and so active that guardian X will never be without a clanmate to run activities with, and the clan will keep doing GG... And yet again Bungie believes in a idealistic version of the game instead of the actual reality ,there is no incentive for anyone (except seekers and a very rare percentage of clans who actually do GG to get members for their clans ) to do this service , nothing is gained by clans for doing this . then you have an unholy wait timer that on top of which you have to wait in orbit DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! For the love of God Bungie if you read this, play FFXIV , see how they do their matchmaking service called duty finder, and then see how they do their IN GAME lfgs like party and raid finder , and finally you will see how subpar Guided games has been to me and so many others...

Guided games would work but not enough players are using it.

I’ve posted something like this every time I see a GG thread, so here we go again. The lady that came up with Guided Games said in an interview that as a female gamer she was bullied so she wanted to create an LFG “ safe space “. Lame.

3 RespostasEditado por Jared: 7/14/2018 5:13:10 PMThe reason seekers have larger waiting times is because there are many more of them than there are full teams willing to carry someone. lol. I think the way to solve that problem is by incentivizing guiding people through nightfalls or raids. Like a clan engram or something. It's not like it's going to break anything, or give people any real advantage, but the incentive would be there, and the numbers would improve drastically.
-
1 ResponderIt would only be equal wait times if there were the exact same number of seekers as clan pairs of guides...as there are many more seekers in the queue than guides, that's why it takes that long Personally, I use the waiting time to dismantle shaders
-
I see what you did there. bump
-
Personally, if they would’ve scrapped that idea, and used that time to come up with a capture the flag mode and a griffball mode, I would be extremely happy.
-
1 ResponderEasy fix is to let Solo do guides. It was like this at Launch! Then switched to require two Members for Guides.

3 RespostasI had and idea to replace guided games and make it easier but no one backed the idea.

PUBG has a different community. It's developers are money hungry and ready to try to destroy the competition. As a gamer to a developer, I don't know how they're staying afloat. They seem to disrespect players along with have poor developing skills for games. Point is, it's more filled with people that say "PubG is a man's game and FortNite is for kids" when in reality the FortNite community gets more respect from its playerbase, youth or not. A fine example of the entire situation is the PUBG Vs. FORTNITE law suit. Ofcourse though, the PUBG developers dropped the law suit because of reasons. It wasn't their first though. Before they attempted to go against FortNite, they went after a smaller battle royal game because that game had, and I quote, "A frying Pan". Did I mention millions of people were ban from PUBG because they were hacking, and the innocent people that were caught in that ban were mad? Destiny has it's issues. In my opinion, PUBG has it worse.

I think the majority of this game and the things in it suck. But hey who am i? Just a loyal day one player that still plays d1 but wouldnt play d2 if you paid me. I tried its just drying paint is more interesting.
-
It's not an ideal solution. But since Nightfall is brutal and raids are complex, Bungie has decided that pure matchmaking on either is too problematic to work. Guided games is their alternative.

Then again with the game finder section on the D2 app now active I think the guided game feature is now outmoded

8 RespostasMy feelings on this are that we have more "Seekers" than people who want to host. Alot of those, who are hosting, probably do not want to risk taking on "inexperienced" or "Carry me" players. It was a good idea at it's concept, but was poorly implemented.
-
Simple Higher supply of seekers, lower supply of leaders

Editado por XguyExtra: 7/14/2018 4:27:30 PMIf I have two players already, it's convenient to Guide for Nightfalls for a random rather than waiting or setting up an LFG. Whether guiding or seeking, I have never not been able to finish nightfalls even when they used to have a time limit. However now, Prestige Nightfalls I think are more the way to go if you enjoy getting cool emblems and other special drops, and Guided games isn't necessarily the best for that because you want to ensure that they have the stuff you need for your strategy before they enter your fireteam. Maybe around Forsaken, Guided Games may be more useful for getting your Nightfalls out of the way, and I believe there are supposed to be at most two resets a week vanguard and crucible activities. I'm guessing it will become more active then. I've never tried guiding a raid through Guided Games before though, might be interesting to do in the future when Leviathan is more of a legacy event to get the raid gear.
-
I don't bother with that bs. I'll hop on here and get people in fireteam finder. That shite is useless. 20mins waiting to find a group. Hop on here n get a team in 3 mins.
-
It’s a good idea it was just poorly executed. There are no incentives at all for people who guide, and the ticket system is still in place, meaning that people can only use it a certain amount of times. Bungie either needs to revisit it and fix it or just take it out entirely. At its current state its pretty much useless.
-
There’s probably more seekers than leaders which causes the time imbalance, maybe I’m wrong tho. I wouldn’t ever recommend using it
