So I learned that the only new original strike that wasn’t recycled from the dlc story is exclusive to play station. Why bother making new content when only one platform gets all of it? I’ve hated the idea of console exclusives from the beginning. While it may not have been as horrible back in Destiny 1. It’s magnified to an insulting scale when dlc is shallow, you recycle content for strikes, and the only strike you actually bothered making that wasn’t a part of the story is exclusive to one console! Xbox users have gotten the short of end of the deal even when we paid the same price for the dlc.

1 ResponderWe wouldn’t of gotten it either if Sony didn’t pay for it.
-
1 ResponderSony payed bungie extra for the exclusivity, Xbox didn't want to, simple as that.

Editado por tOX1Cx23: 5/19/2018 2:42:19 PMSony dished out more money to Bungie to get this, as long as Destiny the game exists Playstation will have the exclusives, but too tell u the truth in the past u were not missing out on much, but now the strikes are good

2 RespostasIt was announced prior to Destiny 1's launch that PlayStation would have exclusives.
-
What's sad is that it's a good strike by Destiny 2's standards - Midpoint of the strike is dunking two orbs and the boss involves standing on sync plates at two points to bring him into the play area. Compared to some of Destiny 1's strikes and it feels lackluster.

I just played the Psion strike it was pretty sweet .
thanks Sony

not Sony’s fault

but it paid off
5 RespostasFor years PS got the shaft as most games exclusive content want to Xbox. Now to be fair, It was about a month. I agree the Bungie one year exclusive content is absurd. Ok, offer exclusive content to one platform as a sales and marketing incentive. But one year is way too long. One month is sufficient, no more, no less.

This is something you should have known going in. It was no secret. But cry away

9 RespostasI can’t play Halo on my PS4.

4 RespostasPS had to wait a year before they saw one of the latest Tomb Raiders. That's a full year of being locked out of a whole game. And that isn't even the first time for either console owner to be locked out of a game for a year. At least with this timed exclusive content Xbox players can still play the game, albeit without 2 strikes, 3 sets of horrifically ugly armour and perhaps the best exotic sniper in the game. DARCI is great, but with the extra focus on matching elements to shields Borealis just wins it for me.

6 RespostasCuz playstation is awesome

1 ResponderFrom what I understand, it isn't so much as the strike is "cut", as much as PlayStation pays them extra money to make content for their players. So it was made in addition to regular content to be made available to PS. (I play Xbox btw). Now whether this is right or wrong, factually or morally, is up for debate.

4 RespostasPS has sold triple the units as Xbox. Economics.

22 RespostasEditado por InTheZone: 5/17/2018 3:49:37 PMThe fact that anyone supports Xbox and ms practically is supporting cancer to the gaming industry. You're missing out on a ton of games as it is, no need to fuss over dlc paid by sony
-
16 Respostaslol. Bungie's last game was xb only and it was fine for a decade. Bungie tosses a strike to PS players & the world is ending.
-
Well they told microsoft to get lost, now the go get sony cas injection, mabe think sea of thives.
-
Insight Terminus is a pretty good strike, but the boss is just a giant Psion that shoots three void orbs instead of just one. It's a bit too add heavy and otherwise unremarkable. Nokris and Xol are far better strikes imo. They offer a unique boss fight amongst the other strikes, one offers a relic weapon and the other offers a raid-like mechanic in a way.

It's not gonna change all about money in the game industry.

3 Respostassony often do this: they either try to buy a whole game or franchise in the belief people will buy a console to play a game... or they pay devs to make exclusive content for that platform. of course devs are a business so they naturally cannot turn down money. of course some are stupid and so they will buy a console to play one game, this is because fools and their money etc etc. i dont see how else it tempts people to try a game they wouldnt normally buy if they already own a playstation myself. i think sony is throwing money away. maybe its about brand loyalty, though they might do better redesigning the ps controller so its comfortable like the xbox ones. that might work better for loyalty.

2 RespostasI must be playing on Xbox, even though my console says Sony. I haven't seen that strike yet.
-
As a playstation player I always laughed about us having the exclusives but this is going too far. I sympathyse with other platforms after all
-
Matches the rest of the game..... a let down....
-
Nothing is gonna change, so get over it.
-
While exclusives are and have always been bullshit these types of post are getting really old
-
How many times does this have to be explained....

3 RespostasEveryone pays the same for the same content. Sony paid for the exclusive content for their console users. I don't blame Bungie for not turning down money.
