I've been playing the beta for a time, and I must say, I'm very pleased with how it is. Bungie is one of a handful of companies that ACTUALLY listen to their audience.
Here are a two things I particularly liked from both facets of the game.
PvE:
Ok, where to start? PvE has changed significantly from the original game. I, for one, LOVE the notion of tougher to kill enemies that have been implemented. It enables strikes, for example, to be more team oriented, and makes reckless moves more of a gamble.
PvP:
I also enjoy playing competitive mode, and not having to worry about getting my nose sniped off as soon as I approach a corner. The fact that these games focus on primary weapons allows for more of a fair fight-- rather than being able to tank with a shotgun.
I would go on, but my tiny phone keyboard is a hassle to deal with.
Overall, I'm pleased with what was delivered. Well done, Bungie, well done.
Edit: I've never edited a post before but 'eergoes.
I would also like to argue the point of a slow super:
I think the move was two-fold--
1. To make the game harder
2. To go along with the narrative with the crippled traveler
Opinions?
P.s. Thanks for the positivity, brothas.

Combine both D1 system and D2 systems... Kinectic weapons - as it is. Energy weapons - all elemental based primary weapons, low impact/high rof shotguns, low impact/high rof sniper rifles and fusion rifles. Heavy weapons - HMG, rocket launchers, grenade launchers, swords, high impact/low rof shotguns, high impact/low rof sniper rifles, linear fusion rifles. With this system you could only equip either a low impact SR or a high impact SR, not both. Also a fusion rifle or a linear fusion rifle. This would create a lot more diversity for weapon set up. Bungie could even change the designs of the sniper rifles to accommodate this alternative weapon set up. Low impact/high rof SR's would keep the current designs - semi auto High impact/low rof SR's would change to bolt action SR's.
