I would tread carefully. You have to understand heaven is only reached through salvation through Christ alone. You can believe in God and still go to hell.

I see Christians seemingly trying to drive people away from the love of Christ by preaching hellfire and damnation. Who would be convinced to follow Christ, the bringer of mercy and forgiveness when all they hear is how they are going to burn for eternity? I don't understand why Christians feel compelled to do this, it's not going to bring people in and more often than not it drives them away.

Heaven isn't even the goal. It's loving God or not. If you don't love God, you wouldn't like heaven anyways because God is the focus. The closer relationship that will be available to us with Him is what it'll be about, in addition to the community of believers.

I'm not preaching on hell fire. I'm simply commentating on what a lot of atheists say and try to explain why they are correct. I believe there are a thousand different ways to preach the word of God non believers and not one is the best way to do so. The whole point is was to provide an answer to the post
