Before you downvote this to oblivion, let me explain. I am an 28-year old college student at Rice who is currently working towards a law degree. The reason I'm still in college is because for 3 years, I served my country as an Air Force Bomber. I fought not for my political ideals, but for my country. But now, if you asked me to fight for my country again, I would say hell no. Have we seriously gone this far back? Have we lost all common sense? We live in a country where our PRESIDENT-ELECT has done the following:
Insulted a civil-rights hero
Insulted a Gold-Star Family
Mocked a disabled reporter
Claimed Global Warming is a Chinese Hoax
Insulted a former POW and called him a coward
That's just listing a few. As a veteran, I challenge my fellow veterans to support this man. The man who prefers his soldiers not captured. The one who insulted a Gold Star family. The man who will be President soon. So America, WAKE THE -blam!- UP!

1 ResponderWelcome to b.net, where you can't say anything bad about trump without getting flamed. Even if it's true.

Editado por Onion Beetle Fan: 1/19/2017 6:13:40 AMSame, as a 21yo veteran. Trump representing the troops is the best experience a servicewomyn can ask for.

13 RespostasEditado por Guardian7477: 1/18/2017 6:44:14 PMThis is weird. Usually, veterans don't come out to tell people they were veterans because they don't want to hear, Thank you for your service. Anyways, you as a veteran should have realized this could happen due to the fact we have free speech. You are defending his rights to free speech. You on a individual level not liking Trump has nothing to do with your military experience nor should you use it to sway others as it is intellectually dishonest. He also didn't mock the reporter.
Claimed Global Warming is a Chinese Hoax
And? I'm waiting on his substantiation of this.
Insulted a former POW and called him a coward
Yeah he and Johnny had some banter, and?
That's just listing a few.
Oh please do more.

How did he insult a civil rights hero?

Well said, and thank you for your service.
-
Same. 27 Army vet, and the idea that Trump can be played as pro service members is ridiculous.

1 ResponderEditado por Moon Made Waves: 1/18/2017 8:07:44 PMThank you for your service and well said. This guy is an embecile and if the spectacle he's made of himself, the office of the POTUS and Democracy in general is acceptable to you.. you're an embecile as well. edit: Take any critisms you may receive for posting what should be a very obvious reaction to this whole election with a grain of salt, you're dealing with children with way too much free time on their hands.

1 ResponderYou know, if Trump abolishes free trade with China AND sends US warships to stop the illegal militarization of islands in the south China sea (which he most likely will). This will be the first time in AGES that the US's military might has actualy been used for good!

2 RespostasA f*cking veteran would not be using these forums which consists of 80% 16-18 year olds. I never believe anyone that claims to be a veteran on Bungie.net...
-
Why is it ok for these people to dog him but him not be able to do it back?
-
16 RespostasWhat civil rights hero? What Gold Star Family? That heckling disabled reporter? Are you an ableist? If she is going to be treated as an equal and real reporter this includes being able to take it when you dish it. Never claimed global warming was a complete hoax but rather that it is a greatly exaggerated problem and one that Emerging Markets like China use to their advantage with carbon emissions which they definitely do. What pow? You're entitled to your opinion but the overwhelming majority of the military supported him and his inauguration as of right now is notable for having more of a military presence including veteran families at the inaugural ball. I'm curious what are your opinions on our president of the last 8 years the one that cut medical benefits to active and retired military vets, potentially let hundreds of thousands die awaiting treatment and retaliated against whistleblowers that brought it to light?
-
That awkward moment when it doesn't matter because he already won.

1 Responderbe thankful hillary hasn't sent you to die to cover her ass.

That "civil rights hero" is a loser who also didn't attend Bush's inauguration. -blam!- him.

"I held hands with MLK once so I can undermine our democracy by saying our president elect is "illegitimate" and do whatever I want, TOTALLY IMMUNE TO CRITICISM HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!1!!

"Even though trump has repeatedly made "Oh look at me I'm stupid" gestures about people criticizing him, including Ted Cruz, he was clearly mocking a pulitzer prize winning reporter for being disabled"
-
"Our son was KIA so we can say whatever we want about trump and he can't attack us back, because we'll shamelessly hide behind his -blam!-ing casket"

4 RespostasLet's take a look at this: 1. Using your veteran status as a political talking point 2. John Lewis is a civil rights hero, but he still isn't immune to criticism. He's not doing a great job currently and I think that claiming that our elected President is "illegitimate" is insulting. 3. That Gold-Star family, who I deeply respect, has criticized Trump as well, assuming that he hasn't read the constitution. Also, if Hillary didn't send their son to Iraq, he'd still be here. 4. He really didn't. He sometimes makes those hand gestures when poking fun at peoples' policies, including Ted Cruz. 5. I don't like that entirely, but China uses climate change as an excuse so we can give them money. 6. He said those things about John McCain because he was John McCain, not because he was a POW. But I agree, John McCain is a hero and Trump should apologize to him if John McCain desires.
-
You're not a veteran.
-
1. Sticks and stones may break your bones but words only hurt stupid liberals. 2. You sure don't sound like a veteran. 3. Most of those cases were provoked.
-
And we should care why?
-
Eh, McCain has been an establishment prick for a while now. Trump mocked others similarly to the reporter, and allegedly wasn't mocking his disability, but just the reporter because his general feud with media outlets. And Lewis hasn't been a civil rights hero for years, as he's long since sold out to be a Democrat mouthpiece over a civil rights leader, similarly to what the NAACP has done. Other ones are dick moves, no doubt. But let's face it, Trump's a dick. It's what he does. "See, there's three kinds of people: dicks, pussies, and assholes. Pussies think everyone can get along, and dicks just want to -blam!- all the time without thinking it through. But then you got your assholes, Chuck. And all the assholes want us to shit all over everything! So, pussies may get mad at dicks once in a while, because pussies get -blam!-ed by dicks. But dicks also -blam!- assholes, Chuck. And if they didn't -blam!- the assholes, you know what you'd get? You'd get your dick and your pussy all covered in shit!" - Drunk Guy at the bar in Team America: World Police.
