So.... Bungie really screwed up with private matches...
When you complete a private match you are rewarded crucible reputation and you are given normal rewards from the end game reward screen.....
So yeah......

I'm going to buy a second PS4 with another live account.... purchase Destiny for it... Create a character... Then join a private match to shoot him over and over. All this so I can look like I'm better than I actually am. Sounds like fun.

So why does it matter if I got the drops while playing in matches against just my friends? Oh wait...It doesn't matter.

You can't get weapons like eyasluna from rewards screen though buddy. Only reputation along with blues, motes , coins etc

The clad item crucible one does though. I don't really see a problem with it Edit: you would have to do a lot more matches to get the same effect as a booster.

If they weren't playing private they play normal crucible so what difference does it make?

Did you not read or watch any of the info on private matches? Yes, you can earn rep and get BLUE rewards from private matches. You can also complete gunsmith weapons.

completeing bounties or grimoire isn't bad its the quests and missions that cannot be boosted by private matches. what would be nice is to have a "randomize map" option

So, it's just like if you're playing the game normally? Who. Cares. You're still battling RNGeezus after every match. It's not like better rewards are tied to match success. First place probably still gets bunk anyway.
