New Matchmaking Settings Applied to More Playlists
Today we applied the [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/44932/7_New-Matchmaking-Settings---07062016-]recent changes[/url] we made to Matchmaking settings in Control to all other playlists except Trials of Osiris - which uses different Matchmaking settings that are specific to that event. These settings will also be applied to the next Iron Banner. Play some games and leave your feedback below.

Every -blam!-ing lobby has lag and hit detection issues, the bars might be green but the gameplay is still inconsistent. Point blank shotgun shots don't do damage, or you trade after you have killed the other guy and clearly shot first. Mida takes like eight headshots or more to kill because a portion of the bullets do not register. Sometimes even my Doctrine doesn't have enough rounds to take someone down as it shoots marshmellows. Damage registers in spikes, you turn a corner and you are almost dead from what feels like a single scout rifle shot or burst from a pulse. Aim assist pulls you of a lagging target. I cannot challenge anyone and i lose the majority of my 1v1-situations because my gun won't do the correct amount of damage and they see me earlier. These matchmaking settings have made the game unplayable, except if you have shit internet that is. This game has always had these problems but now they are worse than ever. Maybe i should see if one of my neighbours will share their wifi and stop using my fibre line, maybe then i'll become one of these unkillable connection warriors.

1 ResponderThese settings are really "enjoyable", i mean who doesn't like lobbies where you combine three continents ? I also have to spend an eternity in orbit waiting for a game that i'll mostlikely rage quit due to lag anyway. Iron banner finds games faster, and gives more regional results, but the gameplay is still extremely inconsistent and the matchmaking is quite clearly heavily skill based. Every lobby has a few players who are lagging and not taking damage the way they should. Why does the guy who is not a full green bar, or in the yellow or red get a massive advantage over me ? Their bullets connect to me, while i'm shooting blanks. That is not competetive or fair, maybe our stats are similar but in reality the connection determines the outcome of the gun fight, not skill. You are lying when you say that connection quality has the highest priority.

All I want to do Bungie is be able to play your game, is this too much to ask? 90℅ of games are laggy now for me, I'm in the UK have a very good connection but it makes no difference. The game just isn't fun anymore, oh well guess I'll have to move onto something else.

these changes are shocking. they are worse than previously. now anyone not full green is a red bar. please please please fix this mess and put it back. at least then it was only red bars i had to worry about

Please change your matchmaking system in normal pvp. It is so sweaty and a lag-fest. Crucible is unplayable!!!!!!!!!! Connection based matchmaking and everybody will be happy. But i think BUNGIE doesnt care.

Will destiny 2 get dedicated servers? Please just let the community know and answer the questions you have been avoiding. Just tried the test of titanfall 2 and the connection experience of the game was good.

Nearly every1 wants year 1 CBMM and Bungie just doesnt care. Thats just sad, because PVP was such an awesome expericene in year one and with TTK it is just becoming more and more and more frustrating. Are there no guys at Bungie who read Guardians comments in the forum??? i just dont understand why they are so blind and destroy the best thing in Destiny. I guess they do this because they suck in Crucible or because they are just some sadistic humpalumpas. We should bump every comment that sh... on the matchmaking system. But i think it wont change anything. AND BUNGIE: PRIVATE MATCHES ARE NOT THE SOLUTION TO YOUR TERRIBLE MATCHMAKING SYSTEM!!!!!!!

I cant play salvage anymore I can't play skirmish anymore I can't do those stupid bounties it's always a team of 3 that play salvage like its skirmish. There is no fun in those game types it is worse everytime you make changes. Just go back to CBMM where we can all have fun.

1 ResponderEhm no one liked the changes to MM when you made it fro control only I even stopped playing control that often cause of it, about 90+ percent of people complained and said no...and well you just implemented it everywhere? (Except trials) well I am glad I am not playing IB this week...have no need for it and it holds no meaning to me since it gives me nothing of interest...but yeah nice way to apply changes no one liked. Hope you make some better changes for ROI ;)

2 RespostasCrucible is now the WORST it has ever been in terms of red bars and latency issues. Also it is WAY to sweaty. Every game I have played this IB has had red bars. Whatever you guys did made it worse to the point of being a joke.

Take out sbmm, it just makes crucible way less fun, and constantly matches against laggy opponents. CBMM
