Almost two years late, on a legacy console I finally did the Vault of Glass heroic. I bought the game during TDB and I didn't raid much at all, because I hate LFG, also the few times I did get into a raid, it didn't seem all that fun and I was unprepared. So I stuck mainly to crucible and other PoE / strikes
Last night my 334 Sunbreaker Titan and an LFG team of between 4-6 random people that kept coming and going, we marched through the vault, destroying the mindless robotic enemies.
I had actually done heroic in year 1 but that LFG team could not figure out Atheon encounter. Since then I've finished Normal a few times, and watched a ton of YouTube, so I knew generally the game now. I managed the Gorgon maze, and at the jumping puzzle I totally missed my jump but somehow with Titan bursts skated across thin air to the other side? I was killed when we finished atheon as I was jumping when the detain bubble hit, so I fell out and died. I still contributed though. And the loot, omg the loot, I got Fatebringer, a sniper and the hezzans vengeance (again), plus a cool Titan helm. It was probably the most rewarding 1hr and a half playing Destiny for the past year and half. Too bad the gear is not really useful for anything but playing more VoG.
Icing on the cake, I went to the Postmaster afterwards, and what do you know? A 142 light Vex Mythoclast waiting for me!
Thank you destiny, for giving me the year 1 destiny experience that I never had before!

*nostalgia* Y1 when I ran though it at level 31 with TLW, Her benevolence, and some rocket launcher. Soooooo cool. The guy that led us through had all raid armor, Chatterwhite, the sparrow, and the hard mode ship to boot. His buddies were all max level too and were super friendly, and we made it through the raid in probably 2 hours. Then we tried CE and failed miserably and gave up and went to the tower. Chatterwhite, the Titan class item, boots, SHARDS, the shotgun (the names escape me) in all.

those weapons during patrol are still relevant and crucible.

14 RespostasNice. Best raid. 2nd is Crota's (to me) 3rd King's Fall
I just don't like King's Fall at all
-
27 RespostasSorry but doing vog at 335 doesn't count. Do it at 160

Editado por GhostRydr: 8/10/2016 11:15:31 PMGood for you. VoG is simply some if not the best content this game has to offer. It's up to Bungo to provide a new raid that's half as satisfying as the Vault...
...coz all things considered, KF sure as shit wasn't
5 RespostasIf you REALLY want the year 1 experience, try going into Crucible with nothing but rebuffed Thorns. The DoT will make you scream lol
-
4 RespostasMy first VoG was on normal and I managed to get Promethean code, (which I got another on hard) and red death. I was happy.
-
I'm happy for You man!!!
-
Vog my one and only raid-love Good job
-
1 ResponderYear one vog was the most fun I've had in destiny. I would run it so much and never get bored, where as crota and oryx got boring after the second or 3rd run
-
4 RespostasAwesome. I have many fond memories of running VoGs. You'll love Vex, in its prime it was an amazing gun for pvp.
-
2 RespostasGlad you had fun AND got rewarded. Hope there's plenty more of this in RoI?

Good to hear that you had a great time and with great rewards!

Congrats man!

Favorite raid ever. Lol we used to fight the legions. Poor noobs we were. Now we obliterate them!
-
Congrats! Even when your many light levels above, it is still a fun experience.

Editado por shredderblade123: 8/9/2016 9:37:56 PMNice! I remember I got my first ever vex mythoclast on my second run back in year one. It was funny because I was dead for half the fight lmao.
-
10 RespostasNice. I never have gotten to raid much - I'm 49 and my sons and I have done VoG and Crota together (from our respective homes - I raised them all properly, lol). Nice job on the Mythoclast! My retro moment thus week - I took a new Hunter through, from new to level 40 without using the level bump token. I FINALLY bothered to upgrade to an Eidolon Ally, lol - now gotta pester the kids to help me get a crux. :-)

6 RespostasEditado por TheTommieC: 8/9/2016 12:48:25 PMI've got full VoG sets for all of my characters and all the weapons (never forget elemental primaries) chillin' in the vault. One of these days, I want to take 5 other guardians with full VoG armor sets and weapons, kick back, have a few beers and run it the classic way. Maybe do it on a #ThrowbackThursday.. this would be glorious. Then the following Thursday, do the same with full Crota gear. 👍 Glad ya got to get the raid experience, especially VoG. Well done, Guardian. _.-*May your light continue to shine bright, Guardian.

1 ResponderDid a hard VoG a few weeks ago using Y1 weapons :) Fatebringer, Spear and Gjallarhorn. So much fun and all the memories
-
2 RespostasLucky. I've been playing the vault all along and still don't have the mythoclast.
-
1 ResponderLucky, the only Exotic I've gotten from about 10 VoG runs is Gjallarhorn.
Still awesome.
