It's happened to me randomly multiple times over the last few years, and it's been happening all day and I'm very disturbed. Let me explain...
It started a few years ago. I was getting home from a party, It must have been around 1 or 2am, and as I got out of my car I could hear faint ice cream truck music in the distance. I thought it was really bizarre considering how late at night it was. I brushed it off as some weirdo listening to it in his car while driving by my street and I started walking to my front door. That's when the music started getting louder, like it was pulling down my street. I started to panic and ran inside as quick as I could and watched out the front window, but nothing ever came by.
A few weeks after that I was at my ex girlfriend's house, standing in her driveway talking with her and a couple of friends. It was late at night again, probably around midnight. And there it was again, the ice cream truck music. I became frantic and asked the others if they heard it and THEY DID! I was thankful that I wasn't going insane but at the same time I was still panicking that it was happening again. We waited in the driveway as it got louder and louder, it sounded like it was right around the corner from the house. All of the sudden it stopped. We were all dumbfounded, especially after I had explained to them that it had happened before.
Over the next year or so it would happen every couple of months. I would be out late somewhere in a random place and would hear ice cream truck music. One time it happened while I was driving my car with the windows down and it sounded like it was following me.
Well...for the past year I stopped hearing it and eventually stopped worrying every time I got home late at night. And so I'm sitting here at work, and for the past few hours I've heard ice cream truck music outside the building. I'm very alarmed and not looking forward to going home alone when I get off at 11 tonight.
