Refer-a-Friend?
So...you can get exclusive stuff for "linking" with a friend, but only if that friend has never played Destiny before? What about those friends who want to like together that have already played the game?
Do I really have to make a friend go out and buy a ps4 (with Destiny) just to get exclusive content?
Way to cater to your veteran players, Bungie.

IMO, it's pretty nuts in light of how long vanilla destiny and TTK have been out now. Many people who may have been new to the game have already played through that content. I'm an adult with a job and 3 kids so the number of friends that i still talk to on a semi-regular basis who also play video games and also would be interested in something like this is a pretty short list. As luck would have it, i have a friend who just bought a xbox one for fallout 4 in the past 3 weeks and he got Destiny:TTK as part of that transaction. The downside is that it's been a mere few days past the 7 day limit since he's first played destiny so now he doesn't qualify for this? He's not even hit level 20 yet, meanwhile i'm the guy who's played destiny for hundreds of hours, have 3 level 40 characters, have run the raids, regularly still play and would love to play through this quest with my friend and the promo says he's not vaild? Extend this quest out to people who haven't hit max level yet or something.

1 ResponderAll the friends and family I have referred over the last year, and now this? I agree with you. Veteran players are being disenfranchised now. With all the new games out now Bungie is disparate. They need to do a better job taking care of Veteran, Beta, and Year one players.

Players are eligible for 'referee' status within the first 7 days of purchasing TTK. Not vanilla Destiny. in other words, you may know someone who hasn't gotten TTK yet. they're eligible.

Day 1 veteran! Just looking to pull some people through some stuff and get some free stuff along the way. I'm pretty happy with where my character is at so I'm open to do whatever missions. Even level 4 stuff lol

Haters gonna hate. My thoughts, yeah it's a little messed up that us veterans who have supported Destiny for so long and already have established friends, clans, and helped the occasional noob through the game already are not eligible for new emotes and gear. But to bash the game and or bungie is getting ridiculous. What other game gives you so much content for your dollar? Call of Duty? Fallout? when the campaign is done, it's done. Then what? A laggy unrealistic multi-player. Oh and the ridiculously priced expansion pass. Or what about the $5 loot drops? Every video game programmer wants your money for as little as possible. At least with Destiny there's something new to play for each week. In conclusion keep grinding Guardians. If these losers won't help defeat the darkness, I will.
