A new exotic shows up, and it's another one of those "only when this mission happens to be the daily heroic" deals.
I -blam!-ing hated the Black Spindle, because that mission was already difficult enough without it being limited time only. Even after they nerfed the -blam!-ing thing (and thus decreased the reward for doing the mission), they did absolutely -blam!-ing nothing to make the mission any easier. Decrease rewards should equal a decrease in difficulty, Bungie.
Then the Sleeper Stimulant came along, and I only got that by chance as I had all those relics drop for me. So many others missed out on getting it because of that stupid "today only" availability, and the tight-assed nature of RNG. The weapon isn't even that good!
Now we have No Time To Explain. We must go into the daily heroic and find three ghosts in the mission. This wouldn't be so bad except ===>If you die after collecting one, you have to go back and start the whole mission again to recollect them.<===
That's a real dick move for Bungie to make. They know damn well why.
In a mission with limited availability, there are rules and mechanics that are purely implemented for the sake of wasting what little time we have.
Remember in the Black Spindle Mission? If you fail to complete that section in under 10 minutes, it throws you back into orbit. It FORCES you to do that incredibly long, tedious, annoying run through almost the entirety of the normal mission before you can have another go at it.
Another thing that really pisses me off is the fact that certain members of this community expect everyone else to have hours of free time at their disposal to throw into these -blam!-ing things. I decided not to waste any more of my time on the Black Spindle until the difficulty had been decreased to match the reward. The second I told my teammate I was leaving he spewed insults at me like a -blam!-ing homophobic machine gun.
I feel as though all of these issues would simply clear up if Bungie made it so that challenges like these would be available all the time, rather than only whenever they -blam!-ing felt like it. The current system is far too unreliable. In addition, it seems to prey on the people that collect exotics (those people will be forced to do all these shitty trials eventually).
-
Instead of it only being available when the specific Daily mission is in queue, they should make it so that it's on a 24-hr timer (to be completed b4 next reset or something). At least that way, folks can attempt it at their leisure, but w/in a certain time-frame. Seems like a pretty simple solution; I'm not sure why they thought restricting and limiting people like this would be received well.

Rage much

Speaking as someone who has Black Spindle, Sleeper Simulant, and No Time To Explain, I agree about the one-day-only deal. I can understand they want to challenge players instead of just handing out great weapons (Black Spindle in the raid...) but the time gating isn't really a "challenge." Congratulations! You're willing to disregard your real-life obligations to chase in-game rewards! Here's your Exotic! What kind of challenge is that? Also, as far as the Exotics where you need to wait for the missions to become available, there ought to be some kind indication that is the next step when you finish the prior one, so people don't waste time theorizing about hidden steps that don't exist.
-
I only agree to a certain degree. I'll explain: Time-gating these things like they've done with the Black Spindle, Sleeper Simulant, and now with No Time To Explain is actually not a bad idea. But, what I highly disagree with is the fact that they not only time-gate the entire mission in itself, but they also limit it to a daily run. That's where the real problem is. I wouldn't mind if Bungie decided to unlock a specific mission on a specific date, but as long as they keep it unlocked. But the fact that they pay no respect to people's time by forcing it to be run that day only, is a slap in the face. Some of us have responsibilities (e.g. work, family) and aren't readily available to jump on as soon as something is discovered. They should simply set a date which the mission unlocks, and leave it unlocked. But no, they choose to limit the mission as a daily, which is pathetic. But time-gating in general is not a bad idea as it helps extend the life of the game. Otherwise, people would be completing these things in a heart-beat, then sit around and complain that the game doesn't provide enough end-game content. And of course, that applies to all the missions they've enabled for us thus far. Tl;dr: I don't mind time-gating in general, but don't lock these missions to a daily run, because some of us have other things to attend to.

I love the challenge. I hate time walls. The Spindle is fun and refreshing, compared to the rest of the content. They need to figure out a way to make these events timed, but unlockable. Meaning: get the black spindle on one character and the mission is unlocked for all three. That way, when it is not the daily, you can still play it. They would obviously need to put a restriction on fireteam access for people that have not unlocked it. This way we could leisurely unlock these weapons on our Alta without feeling pressured to get it all done in one night.

2 RespostasEditado por Lee C Miller: 10/22/2015 9:32:39 PMAgreed, I haven't played any arms day missions. Can't be arsed with the hassle of being forced to play on a Wednesday. I have enough exotics to keep me happy. Bungie can stuff the arms day ones where the sun don't shine. I will play destiny when I want to play destiny lol. And kudos to the other players who said this new grind is putting them off the destiny addiction. Completely agree, I'm starting to look for alternative games now.

Bungie, Please create an option to save the daily heroic in a "mission" slot for later play. Mission slots are largely unused now, Saved Daily Mission: - Only one saved daily allowed. - Hold "use" button on the daily icon in Director to save it. - Cannot save the daily if you have launched it (tried it already). - Activate saved daily from mission screen, allows unlimited retries as long as destination isn't changed. Or perhaps overwrites your existing daily. - Saved daily expires at Tuesday reset. - Cannot launch into someone else's saved daily on a fireteam if your saved daily is different. - Not sure about inviting into your fireteam on a saved daily if your team members have nothing saved? Yes/no? Maybe only allow saved daily fireteam a where all members have the same mission saved. I think this would be a fair and balanced solution.

I feel you man. I work a -blam!- ton and have very limited gaming time during the week. I wish there was an option to do the missions on days it wasn't the daily. Even if they jacked up the required light level to complete said mission it'd be easier than planning it around work. I've missed so many chances to help my clan get the black spindle just because I don't have time to get on the days it's available.

7 RespostasEditado por S4B3R7007H: 10/21/2015 10:42:27 PMTo everyone blowing off this complaint.. People actually travel for work (like me) and some kids have strict "no gaming mid week" restrictions (like mine). Not everyone can be a twitch streamer for a living and play destiny all day, any day. These very time sensitive and limited quests are VERY unfair to a major part of the destiny community. Last time I checked I paid the same price for The game that everyone else did. Why can't I at least have the same opportunity to earn / play for gear, when it's convenient for me... THE CUSTOMER.. I am NOT ASKING For anything free.. I work my ass off to support my family and it requires a serious amount of travel. I too LOVE the surprise missions. They're a huge improvement and make the game interesting. Just wish Bungie would be considerate to all of their players. Maybe let them choose a day on which they play frequently for the surprise missions to drop so they can enjoy like everyone else.

2 RespostasSleeper not that good? What? two people can stagger oryx by themselves with two shots of sleeper each and weapons of light.

5 RespostasThe nerfs and the shitty new tiered-loot system cured my Destiny addiction.

I totally agree

May have replied here already. I don't mind the dailies they are short and can be planned for. Sleeper was random and had no warning it would only last a day. That was incredibly frustrating
-
1 Responderits just another thing for people to demand when looking for members for a group on the forms
-
1 ResponderThe black spindle has become very easy to loot now that everyone is high level and with exotic swords, there are three really unskilled players I know that no one wanted to help to get it that did it together that last time, they said how much of a joke it was now that they had exotic swords. If they did it, pretty much anyone can do it. That said, you're a bit late to realize that Bungie does everything in their power for the players to stay online doing as little as possible. Their whole financing is based on how many players are online, nothing else. They are a statistics institute managed by the typical graduate losers. Don't expect much, look forward to new games!

2 RespostasYou know, I would rather have a SUPER DIFFICULT mission that guarantees me a reward than a -blam!-ing Random Nunber Generator system that punishes me for grinding the game. I wish the whole game was like that, where if you work your ass off, you are guaranteed a certain exotic item (more so than he quests that already exist). I get it, you have time constraints. But the mission is meant to be hard for a reason. The -20 nerf to the Black Spindle isn't even a huge problem; all you have to do is infuse it back up. The Black Spindle in all its glory is actually worth doing that annoying ass mission. What I suggest you do is find a strong LFG team online hell bent on getting that gun. I know it is super hard, but I suggest at the end, everybody kills adds first before doing any damage to the boss.
-
Seriously. It just came out. This isn't the only time it'll be out. I missed the first chance for black spindle then was able to get it in the weekend. Took me 25 minutes. Please stop. This game doesn't have to bend to anyone. If you missed it one day wait till the next. Please.
-
I think it's bullshit too, what do they expect me to do the next time the daily is the one? Call in sick to work? Geez
-
...it's really easy not to wipe in this mission. Just sayin. I've done it 3 times and my team completed it with ease everytime. Although that invisible Atheon at the end is a real -blam!-
-
They could of made it were as soon as its available on daily heroic, it's available for the whole week till reset by going to your missions and choosing herioc one. I do find it unfair to players who don't have time to log on every day like yourself
-
I agree dude. These time constraints are a horrible design for how quests should play out. Wait for this and then this and this and then you can have your weapon. And according to all these people that are shaming you , missing a time restricted mission and being mad about it means you want everything handed to you.
-
22 RespostasSo your one of those players that would rather have everything given to you? I don't know where your head is, but this type of event is 1000x better than xur showing up every Friday so people can "earn" their precious exotic gear. This is what the community asked for and its a huge step in the right direction.

What daily mission was this?

It'll be back
