I tried to do crota and vog 11 times last week and 3 times this week and all where horrible failures. Everyone's 33 to 34 they all have 365 weapons and exotics and when I ask " everyone's done this before" I get the same response "yeahhhh".....we start and always 15 to 20 secs in someone dies no big deal sht happens then another and another until I'm all that's there holding berry's asking if it's there first time.dead silence in my headphone but a lite buzzing..And not I care if Ur new to the raids I'll explain ,iv been there sht. But let me know there's no shame in it.I just want to raid again like the good days,i don't need a pro team I'll take any new pll threw but I have to know right. And don't rage quit and blame it on somebody else when it's clear u don't know what Ur doing its ok gardians.the raids r all about brother and sister hood helping others watching there backs laughing at Ur bro Ur sis dieing when they shot a rocket and a thrall or vex got in there way.....Bring raiding back destiny....DEATH TO THE BLOODY RED QUEEN!!!!!!!!!

Not everyone has the same positive outlook. There should be no shame in being new, you're right. But with how the community is, they seem to shame everyone who isn't a day one player with all 3 characters at lvl 34. I've only ran both raids maybe 3 or 4 times. I said I was new and some were cool with it but I feel I couldn't learn anything because it felt as if I was blindly following instead of being led through it. Anyways I'm always up for gaming with some chill people hmu if you wanna game.

1 ResponderEven though I've never completed a raid from start to finish I always end up the one carrying the team (and figuring out the mechanics myself) until I'm stopped by pure incompetence in a part like the Templar, or the bridge. *sigh*
-
Lol that's why me and my clan only run it with 3 people. Crota is the easiest raid.
-
-
VOG is something that will always be a skill I can't lose. CE I seem to have lost my swordbearer touch a bit. Don't run it anymore
-
Post-HoW max-levelled players are mostly trash because it's far to easy to get to 34.
-
3 RespostasI'm learning the VoG and really really enjoying it. Since there aren't as many "pros" running it anymore i got my chance to run relic. Man, it's def tougher than sword in some ways but it's way more fun. Fuk, the whole raid is the best part of the entire game, both DLCs don't hold a candle to the vault of glass. CE is shit and really easy, IMO and that's coming from someone who's honestly a casual and not that good. Hate CE and only try crota normal CP for that damn swordbreaker that will never drop. I'm on the hunt for the last gun in the game that i want right now though: The Vision of Confluence. Between that, my fatebringer, Fang, word of crota? I'm set Abyss defiant just needs a big buff but it still works pretty well in solar burn situations. Went off on a side rant. OP: you are right, there are more and more "noobs" in raids. It's ok though, everyone has to learn.
-
2 RespostasSadly, I'm one of those players that don't know how to Raid properly despite a relatively high level and decent weapons (primarily because I'd never actually done any Raid until two weeks ago).
-
1 ResponderYou on xbox one?
-
3 RespostasI've been experiencing the same exact stuff. Ugh. At least be honest with whether you've done it or not. what system so you play on?
-
Seems like it man hard to find ogs for quick weekly runs now
-
I still run raids and luckily have a good group of friends to run them with. Sometimes we need a random or 2 off of LFG and they are sometimes sketchy but we usually get it done
-
1 ResponderI've noticed a huge number of maxed out players that suck at the raids, wtf? I had a team of 34's and everyone kept dying at confluxes on vog hard, just sad.
-
1 ResponderThe thing I can't stand is first timers doing a Hard Mode raid. When there are no respawns and little room for error, everybody needs to be on point. Tried to do VoG last week with one clanmate and 4 randoms, couldn't even make it past the Confluxes because these guys kept dying right away. Finally one guy with his friend speaks up and says its their first time, even tho I had already asked everyone before we began. I'm all for helping new players, I do it all the time. But you damn well better not go into a hard mode raid without any idea of what to do and without even telling anyone you are lost. We spent about an hour and didn't even get to the Oracles. Booted all 4 randoms and it was so bad we never even went back and finished it that week

3 RespostasNever did Crota and I've been playing since the month the game was released. Wish I could but like you I really don't trust anyone to help me out unless I know them and that's how I got to do at least VOG once, ONCE. I really wish I could do more Raids but it's just a chore finding the right people especially when I come on here and see my group inbox from the 'Reddit PS4' spamming LF MUST HAVE GJALLARHORN!!!34. I'm only 32 so that's out of the question and I have no potential to get the damn exotic RL because it's too rare for my bad luck.
-
Same issue here with one exception. I got with a group on my last run of vog and they rocked it. No templar teleport and aetheon down in two teleports. It was the best run in vog ever. The raids are always a mixed bag
-
I've been having this issue a lot too, they all just quit and leave me there and I'm like I could've explained it if need be they still leave.... Really there is no shame in being a new raider, just tell me so I know that I can't count on you to know what to do and when to do it
-
Forget a group on Croatas end. Solo or duo that shit. Much easier and quicker than trying to carry idiots. VOG well at 34 you really should only need 4 competent players.
-
4 RespostasThat's what happens when everyone can just buy max level and weapons. They may have shiny 365 weapons, but that doesn't really matter when they haven't taken the time to learn the fights. Not to mention all the 32-34 nobs who try to run hard without ever doing normal. And especially the cats who don't have any weapons with oracle disruptor and try to run hardmode. It can be done, but you need to know what you're about.
-
I have finished VoG and Crota 3 times a week consistently since their releases. With clear and concise direction, any group of randoms are easily able to finish both.
-
Still run the normal Crota 3 times a week since the good weapons drop on that 3 hard vog to help others
-
No not at all. But as I've noticed a lot of people in my friends list just aren't playing anymore. I think the HoW shined brightly for the first week or two but has dimmed alot. I myself have been playing more witcher 3 lately than destiny. So you're probably getting stuck with a bunch of noobs that don't have much or any raid experience.
-
1 ResponderI'll just say this... The good players don't forget how to run raids.
-
I hear ya. Whenever I join a new group from an LFG site or random request I make my stance clear.. if your new, no problem I'll help you through but you have to speak up. If they don't and the raid is going very poorly I will kindly leave and wish them good luck.
-
Yeah its getting ridiculous. I don't even run vog anymore. That's a nightmare. And it's taking 3 or 4 teams to beat crota on hard mode from crota cp.
-
1 ResponderEditado por NathanW18: 6/26/2015 2:49:23 AMI assume that the majority of vets aren't playing any more or just don't do raids. It is so easy to buy vanguard gear, do level 32 PoE and buy the armour from the vendor. You could be 34 in a month and only have to play a couple hours a week. Doing the raids are not required and these idiots go into hard mode when they have never done it before.
