I have always ran across a few people who have higher grimoire than me and think they are better at me than the game. To be honest, I think those people go to Destiny Tracker and grind all day for +5 Grimoire each time. The real question here is this:
Does Grimoire really tell who you are?
My opinion: Sort of
Edit 1: Seems like we are having a contest here about who has the highest Grimoire even though this wasn't the main point. (Max=3665)
Edit 2: Like this post if you agree with my opinion
Edit 3: Some people have been telling me that I grind for Grimoire. That is not true as I stopped at 3550. It may be high but that is because I played the game a lot since day 1. Never wasted time killing 250 ogres ect..

I've had max since a couple days after dlc and it is just a gauge of how much time and different aspects of destiny you have been involved in l. Grimoire usually makes you a better player but having good FPS mechanics is all on you.

2 RespostasYes Grimoire score matters
-
1 ResponderGrimoire means nothing. I grinded it out just to try complete it for something to do
-
A little. Anything above 3k or so is generally good, means you've done a bunch of stuff. The last 500 or so grimoire is meaningless Cuz it's just ghost hunting.

Agree with op

Editado por Wishmint: 6/27/2015 11:27:23 AMI love all the "yes" answers but they don't give any reasons why xD its because it doesn't matter. grimiore in no way makes your guns/character abilities any stronger. It is literally just a number that the children who have nothing better to do tout on a forum to make themselves think they're "cool". The reality is that it's pathetic. Very very pathetic

4 RespostasWell Grimoire isn't true skill, but you do have to kill a certain amount of enemies, find ghosts, use different guns, and play different game types to unlock the score, as well as kill Guardians in the Crucible. The higher the score usually means more time invested which translates to a higher skill level. And practice means perfect
-
Grimiore doesn't dictate skill.
-
1 ResponderHonestly until today. I gotta say yes... I duoed Crota faster than with the raid group i joined today...
-
-
Yes it matters
-
I'll use grimore to judge how long someone has been playing...other than that it's basically pointless.
-
I agree. I like to work at it for completion sake, but it by no means is a big deal
-
It just proves your more committed to the game I guess but it can or cannot prove your better than the other person in my opinion
-
The score means nothing, but the lore is nice.
-
1 ResponderI look at Grimoire because I expect an experience player to have a lot of Grimoire naturally. For instance, a player I know of has Gjallarhorn, has beaten Skolas, has two high level characters, and has 2330 Grimiore. I am in the same situation, but with no Skolas (yet) and 2950+ Grimoire.
-
Lol, no man. -blam!- no
-
There are many people who are running around with high Grimmore that I was more skilled than when I first popped in the disc back in September. I don't look at Grimore...I simply ask hey have you ran VoG, Crota, or Skolas before? I think also looking at their best weapons will tell you how far they have progressed vs grimore scores. Oh this person is using such and such weapon for this particular encounter he might know what he is doing.
-
A little bit I just went for it to brag a little
-
Not really after a point...
-
Nah, it's complete bs.
-
high grimoire = destiny tryhard
-
-
Grimore is for idiots...who cares about the Grimore score? (2850) and I don't get carried thru anything I got 3 ghorn and all weps so I doubt I'm a noob or carried
