why is everyone so upset with Xur?
The Glasshouse has a pretty high stat roll, the Don't Touch Me has a higher stat roll than last time. Xur hasn't sold sunbreakers in a while, and Plan C is a pretty good weapon. I know there's no heavy ammo but you can buy those from the Gunsmith. Why is everyone so upset?

1 ResponderXur isn't random. 4 weeks no heavy is NOT random. Do the math the probability of him being random with what he has every week is 0. And I used to say he was too. But logic says otherwise

The people mainly complaining about Xur are the hardcore players. It is interesting to see some of the bigger youtube channels flat out whining about Xur's inventory. These people have been playing a ton of Destiny and of course they are going to have all the exotics and other cool gear that drops. If you are running 3X nightfall a week and running the raid on 3 characters per week, of course you're going to eventually stockpile all the good gear and Xur isn't going to have anything for you. Now I understand the heavy ammo synth whining, but I'm thinking Bungie is doing that intentionally to force people to have to grind other content for glimmer. Take a step back though and think about some of us "filthy" casual players who can't play the game for hours on end during the week. I've been playing since launch and hadn't been able to get Plan C yet, so I was kind of happy to be able to pick up a "new toy" this week to play with. The armor items he had were also fairly good. Think about the Christmas players who don't get to play a lot, some of them still don't have a lot of exotics so I'm sure they were happy to be able to buy something from Xur. I have a friend who just picked up the game two weeks ago, he was thrilled Xur had Sunbreakers. Xur IS NOT for the hardcore crowd who do all the nightfall/raid every week on 3 characters and have tons of time to invest in the game. The sooner people realize that, the sooner they can calm down. Xur is not in the game to bring you the most epic exotic that you've wanted since day 1, he is there to put a bit of fun RNG in the game for casual and newer players to pick up something cool they might not have. I see these guys who have 200+ coins and just kind of shrug at it. It must be nice to have so much time to play the game. I've saved coins for 2 weeks and only have 40 since I didn't spend any the last 2 times Xur was here. Take a deep breath, back away from the game, and realize if you are one of those people putting all that playtime into Destiny, Xur isn't for you and there just isn't enough content to support your enjoyment of the game. Yell at Bungie instead to add in more items and content, don't get pissed off at Xur for no reason because there are plenty of players and new players that still benefit from him.

5 RespostasLook on the bright side. Plan C is only 17 Strange Coins. Plan B is 50$. Xur is selling Plan C because he agrees that most Guardians here Shouldn't breed. I guess we now know he's a liberal. If he runs for Speaker, I'll surely give him my... Motes. He also believes everyone should be careful about predators... That's why he's offering Don't Touch me again... Okay okay I'm done.

People have to bitch about everything! Xur is like Christmas each week. And from what I've read completely RNG. 1 ResponderThere is something that i don´t understand. Imagine that i go to the trading play cards (like magic or yu gi oh) store to buy some rum (no, actually some cards), You buy a package of cards. Sometimes the cards you get are good, sometimes are bad. Either way, you go to tournaments and the price is a special coupon to buy something in their special shop. The trick is...the shop is only open right after the tournament and what it offers is not known, except that they are very rare cards. Now, which cards are more valuable? The ones you got when you opened the package? Or the ones you specifically bought with your coupons? They act the same, their rarity is the same, the power is the same. Still people complains about some people buying their cards from the special shop and not being gotten via package. Even worse, the same people complains to the special shopkeeper that he didn´t offer the exact card they wanted. You don´t open a blog in the internet because wal-mart didn´t sell nutella, do you? Everything that has Xur to offer, i have them already, sucks for me this week, but you know what? I will save these coins for the next time he appears, meanwhile, i will keep opening card packages.

3 RespostasIt isnt unfair at all, xûr has only sold the red death, suros, and mida once for a reason, every time he sells a weapon people buy it and pwn in pvp and pve. Imagine what would happen if he sold the red death. Im sure a LOT of people would buy it and then it basically wouldn't be an exotic because everyone has it. Exotics are suppose to be the rarest kinds of guns in the game!

Noticed ever since Xur started screwing us over, we haven't complained about the Cryptarch! Xur can take the criticism, but the Cryptarch was on the edge of suicide from all the hate. Xur saved the Cryptarch's life.

1 Responderpeople would rather spend an hour here complaining about Xur not selling heavy than an hour farming 20k worth of glimmer so that they can just buy 20 heavies from the gunsmith and move on with life. i swear there is an entire generation with the mentality of Veruca Salt. if you have nothing to spend your coin on, then just keep saving your coin. spend less time thinking about how to spend it, play the game and let that ish break the bank. it would not surprise me if they make changes in the future that will create a vendor that will trade coin for other things. coin for mote would be good for getting those engrams from Xur. coin for glimmer would get you ammo from the gunsmith, or perhaps they just make the old Xur deal for heavy ammo something that you can get all the time from the Gunsmith. until then, forget about your coin and go farm glimmer. Grinding The Dark Beyond section where the doors open with some black wax active will get you what you need pretty friggin' fast.

Oh, another thing, since content and fixing bugs really aren't our thing, we're gonna break some weapons and say, 'use the pulse rifles!!' cuz, you know, balance and stuff. Well, actually, it's mostly for the 10% of you that play Crucible, and then it's only based off of some statistics we put in a chart and stuff. Math is cool. 2 RespostasI never rely on Xur to get anything I need from the game. So I am never upset with what he has, and pleasantly surprised when he does have something I need/want. Everyone is so bitchy, get good and play the game. Want to get more good gear, play the game more.
