That said, for anyone affected by this issue who is unable to complete the needed interactions with the shrine and remains for Dark Academia, please try completing the Outer Steppes Strangelet quest first. Some players have reported that fully finishing that quest, including turning in the Strangelet and watching the cutscene, enables the interactions required for Dark Academia.
