Lego meets mirrors edge, meets zoomer devs who try extraordinarily hard to simply be "different". - Art style wise.
Gameplay wise looks like nothing special. Just another extraction shooter that noone wants to play really.
That's my thoughts when i saw the Marathon reveal.
And it simply looks like it will not be successful. Atleast not after 3 months. Not like a game that could possibly catch a massive audience.
Our awesome franchise Destiny with a vast and amazing world, with great artstyle had to die for THIS, huh? Well i hope i'm wrong but from the first look, it looks like a game with a very short life expectancy that's made for a niche audience.. Why tf did you guys at Bungie have to basically abandon Destiny for THAT? Oh boy...

Destiny is dead? Was it during a debate? Did he just collapse on stage in front of everyone?
-
Destiny isn't dead and is far from dying, and contrary to a few of you that believe it, game companies are allowed to make more games and in different genres meant for different people. They don't need to stay on one game or series and just ride it out until everyone is bored with the series. They can make more games, which if those games are successful, there isn't a single downside to them getting more funding to either feed back into the game that made them the money or to put some of it into their other games.

9 Respostasdestiny is not dead tho? lmfao
-
I didn’t think it looked particularly good or interesting but I’ll reserve judgement until it comes out

Even the characters faces look dead.

Yeah that trailer was quite underwhelming, can't believe they've damaged Destiny for that...

5 RespostasDidn't Bungie say somewhere that Destiny would have a set lifespan of 10 years? If Destiny started in 2015 and this year is 2025 then Destiny will be coming to a close, why fix something that will eventually be ending anyway. Game studios build games, including the next big things they do, so like Halo Reach to Destiny we go from Destiny-2 to Marathon, this should not be surprising.
