90% of my matches are 5-0 0-5 stomps, completely non competitive and weighted towards one side extrermely.

I've heard rumors it works better if you buy some silver ... Like a lot ...

I was being matched with people on 30+ winstreaks. Worst one was a team with a 100+ game winstreak. It was 8games in a row mostly before getting a single win on my card and then right back to losing. Only wanted to get the new ship but instead got depression

Never gonna work playerbase too small

tok me 5 hours to go flawless on warlock, MM is all over the place, tried to go on hunter, i just deleted the game. My conclusion on the changes, its simply not worth it anymore. Casuals / less skilled get screwed as usual, there are better games out there than this sh.. show. Yes we might lack the skills, but thats not what this is about. trials is worse than esports. When a game make u depressed u know the game is no longer worth it.

2 RespostasYou got 5-0 only twice this weekend played 22 games

4 RespostasIt would be even greater if power level was disabled, it is not fair that players who grind power level are given an advantage.

Whatever Trials is now, it was 1000 times better during house of wolves. The game was amazing back then. The main reason was fun. That's gone now. Players now look for a glitch in the system to avoid each other, find easier paths, stomp less skilled and in the same breath claim to be elites. Trials of 2015 will never be replicated.

5 RespostasThe forced 40/60 / 50/50 w/l ratio + lobby balancing problems will never end, and exist in every mode. The only way to somewhat combat it is to stack up to some degree. Always. Solo queue enforces those algorithms extremely hard.

2 RespostasEditado por madman: 2/18/2025 7:25:43 PMNot sure it is possible t do much with where the game is right now, in order to improve the quality you almost would have to go back and that's not going to happen. The skill range is too wide, one good player literally massacre an entire other team. Even back in S19 when they introduced SBMM, the article said that they had a skill range of -1000 to +1000, so 2000 points of range, and based on their data, if there was a 600 point difference then the lower skilled player effectively had 0 chance of winning any fights. That's 3 points on a 1-10 scale, so a 4 would never kill a 7 which is incredibly narrow. Since then the game only got worse (from a skill range perspective) with even more build crafting, more (sometimes) broken exotics, much more mobility (with strand and crazy melee fly across the map abilities) all of which makes it much more difficult for the average player to even comprehend what's going on before they get killed. The only way that could be addressed really is to have a mode which is much more restricted, weapons, exotics, freedom of builds, in effect would slow the game down considerably and they won't do it

How should lobby balancing work though? To make it as close to a 50/50 win rate as possible? I actually think it should group the top 3 versus the bottom 3 so the best players aren’t carrying. Maybe even do it on Comp rank.
90% of my matches are 5-0 0-5 stomps, completely non competitive and weighted towards one side extrermely.
I haven't had that problem. It mostly seems that you will get players that don't know what the hell they're doing while one or two will carry the other. Or sometimes whatever reason you yourself can't seem to make decent contact with enemy without something else getting in the way first. That's life. I don't worry about it too much I just keep doing it until I succeed and I have.
90% of my matches are 5-0 0-5 stomps, completely non competitive and weighted towards one side extrermely.
Lobby balancing is not enabled in Trials.
Unless it was changed in the recent update and I missed it.
Aww solo is a sh*t show right now in terms of matchmaking. They don’t understand how to snake draft as it should be in solos.
-
1 ResponderI've left my past few games cause of matchmaking. 3 avg players on enemy team and I get 2 guys that just go in to die. Rather take the penalty than just get demoralized by that. Apart from some crappy connections. It's been alright couldn't get to 7 but got 5 in a row for the glow. Talk about compensation prize.

9 RespostasEditado por Ehhhric13: 2/18/2025 6:40:05 AMIn Flawless Pool I am always losing already in 15 loss streak now because of matchmaking. Edit: Already on 30 loss streak now trying to get 1 win.

If you want more even matches; pick up the trials passage instead of the lighthouse one.
-
That’s literally what lobby balancing is. Bungie is giving the best player two players that are far below average against three average players. It happens to me literally every single time I solo queue. It makes games way more swingy and also miserable for everyone in the lobby including the enemy team. The game doesn’t need MORE lobby balancing, it needs less, significantly less.
-
Lobby balancing is terrible. It would need to be sbmm.
-
I almost lost my mind over the weekend because of this. I’m not good at pvp by any means, im a 1.0 kd with a 51% trials wr, but aomehow I get matched with 0.60 to as low as 0.30 KD players with 30-20% wr. How is this even possible?
-
I’ve run into this, but only after I got my 7 win streak. Since then it’s been mostly one sided matches. Very few close games. Supposedly it matches people with a similar weekly performance, but that cannot be accurate if one team completely pub stomps the other multiple matches in a row. Something is seriously broken, or bungie just flat out lied. No way this many matches are this badly lopsided just by chance.
-
I read a few days ago that a 70 year old got to the light house….just saying 🤷🏼♂️😂
-
It what it is, with so few players in d2 overall let alone pvp it will never be "balanced" so to speak.
-
2 RespostasWhat's worth noting, is that it's quite possible that lobby balancing being fixed/doubled down on would not fix this problem. In a 3v3 mode with respawns disabled, it only really takes one player to decide the outcome of a game. One guy being significantly below or above par is enough to drag an entire game that would otherwise be very balanced into a stompfest. And even with the weekly performance based matchmaking, just because of how matchmaking works and how small the post-lighthouse player pool is, there will always be one guy.
-
There is no lobby balancing to not work, it's random, you either get lucky or be good enough to carry two morons. That being said I think 5-0 0-5 is getting a bit out of proportion, I had 5-0 matches this weekend that were drawn out slug fests every round and we barely came out on top each round. 5-0 by itself doesn't necessarily mean non competitive match.
