First, from what I’ve heard, the Destiny “community” proved how toxic they can be in the live chat… but to spew such venom to devs is shameful and makes me wish for an internet that wasn’t so anonymous.
No, no and no. Whilst I’m not going to say anything other than it was vile and disgusting to be racist towards Noah and telling the devs to delete themselves, the “community” was not proved to be anything other than containing racist and unpleasant cowards.
Calling the entire community toxic for a racist and/ or toxic few is a stereotype. It’s like calling all sharks man-eaters, it’s simply not true.
As for the anonymity of the internet, overall I’d say it’s a good thing. Maybe? Idk. 🤷♂️
That said, Bungie yet again is showing their aversion to over delivery. Yes, this update is free. But, so wasn’t Dares of Eternity. A new area was not too much to ask for.
Concur.

Exactly. Perfectly said, a new area wasn’t much to ask for

Mmm. I could get into why it’s not the only time the community has shown its true colors, but that might get me in trouble. All I’ll say is Destiny players love to be judge, jury, and executioner to other members of the community.

Most people on these forums are pretty toxic, almost everyone on twitter when it comes to d2 is toxic, most players you'll encounter who aren't new are toxic, most of the reddit is toxic, pretty much everyone during a livestream on both youtube and twitch are toxic, D2 was once rated like 4th in having the most toxic community and most other communities avoid interacting with D2's community due to how bad of an idea it is.

D2 community is definitely toxic. Playing trials will prove that to you. Sadly there’s no way to avoid toxic people in communities. I sadly have to count myself as a toxic member of the community because of how the past year has made me feel towards the game. I will be glad to leave the game
