Trials is a bullies playground
This is not meant to be mean or funny, but the best way I can describe it.
I have huge respect for the top level PvP players. We all love having one on our team when we are lucky enough, but top level players (the top in anything in life) want to (or at least should want to) be challenged - THIS IS NOT WHAT IS HAPPENING IN TRIALS.
Top level players are being placed up against no challenge at all and are DESTROYING the other team in short time. It’s like placing a seasoned adult fighter in the ring with a 5 year old beginner - NO CHALLENGE. NO REASON TO CELEBRATE.
I understand why so many are quitting matches outright. I don’t quit, but I get it. It’s so bad, it’s abusive. Teams are so unevenly matched you might as well just stand there.
There is no point in playing. You can’t even reasonably complete the weekly. You spawn in and feed the other teams EASY success and FLAWLESS run to collect their rewards - NOT DOING IT ANY LONGER.
The whole thing is toxic and yes, leaving one team feeling demoralized and stomped and the other feeling all powerful over others is akin to being bullied.
WHY is this happening?
Does Bungie know about it?
The only thing within our power is to not play. To remove ourselves. I suggest anyone feeling this way consider not being a part of it in hopes they will fix it.
I respect the best players and know the best want a challenge and don’t condone what is happening. GGs.

Oh they know about it my friend, but when they tried to even it up, the top players threw their rattles out of their cots. It will never get any better or fairer.

For a company that talks about mental wellness, it's VERY strange that they have trials at all. How many people have lost their minds on this bs?

I tried the new passages ,they didn't help nothing . Your still running against long time vet pvp mains and cheaters. It's a absolute dumpster fire. Bungie can keep their final shape if this is the best they can do its not worth the time it takes to login. Again they have not fixed the problem ,Bungie if you can't get rid of the cheats then at least make it 7 wins to the lighthouse regardless how many games you lose. Even then players will more then likely get bored of getting bent over 5 games just for one win. Its a wash bungie fix your game.

38 RespostasI’ve done martial arts. It’s the competitive kind. Got to the highest belt rank. You may know how that works, it’s by color. Guess what?… It’s never fun beating up newbie white belts. It’s just tasteless and classless. Never done it. In fact, I would rather mentor them than beat them up. Beating up less skilled opponents is not fun at all for me, especially if it is competitive sports. Although this game is not a sport, it could get competitive especially in a PvP setting. That’s where this game failed. It’s been failing for over nine years now. Especially with their matchmaking. I mean, NINE years! How bad can they be not to figure this out?… Bwahahahahahaha!!! Failure! Welcome to hollowness!

I however don’t like trials and I would love to see trials sweats not being carted through raids the Glove works on both hands. I’ll probably get slaughtered for saying all this but Idgaf

Trials was, is, and will always be about boot meeting booty. Sometimes you the boot, sometimes you the booty. What trials will never be is 'fair' nor an even playing field where the games are always competitive. Asking for that is asking for trials not to be trials. I think bungie has done the best they can do to get people to play trials. I mean, you get loot just for playing, unlike before when you had to get wins. If your ego can't take you will lose in trials, probably a lot, then just don't play it.

There just isn't a (good, solid) place for bad players in Trials. And as soon there is, the good ones won't want to play it. Because as soon as they change the matchmaking to help the lower end, the higher end gets set on fire. Just is what it is at this point.

Then just don't touch it. Trust me, enough people stop bothering with Trials, you're gonna see the same old complaints "Barely anyone plays Trials." or "The player pool is too small." They keep saying the gamenode's meant for them. So, leave 'em to it.

How are you facing “top players” when you’re not even running into 1KD players? Edit: Checked all 5 games you played and you played two players over a 1KD in your 5 games this weekend. You’re not playing any top players.

9 Respostas100 percent correct. It's not fun, it's not challenging. Matchmaking is jacked up. But bungie doesn't care, because the streamers will have a hissy fit. They'll cry and say they shouldn't have to sweat...in trials. Flawless should be hard...for most everyone. Not just tge bottom 98 percent. If bungie cared they'd fix it...but they won't because they dont.

When it was vaulted it shouldn't have ever been brought back. All the issues that exist now have been issues since Trials was released back in D1, it's just since the F2P was introduced all of what you are experiencing now has gotten a lot worse. What amazes me is how a lot of you ignored this being fully aware any game that has anything that is F2P is going to invite all kinds of issues and the issues happening in Destiny are out of this developer's control, especially since they fired their security team from what's been said.

The fact that you need to "bait" 90% of players to play your pvp, is where the problem lies. This simply isn't sustainable. If players play cause they want sth, instead of cause they wanna have FUN - you're doing it wrong. You wouldn't even need weapons in there, people would still play, if it was any fun at all. Playlist wouldn't die, every time the bait is gone, like it does now. Can you PLEASE start making FUN activities, not only fun weapons? Try it, for once.

7 RespostasThe amount of 0-5 blowouts I've been on the receiving end of this week has been absolutely outrageous. That and the amount of players I've seen leaving the second you lose a round is also ridiculous Also, why in the heck am I matching players who have been "granted access to the lighthouse" on my very first match of a card? It's happened at least 9 times yesterday and 3 times today. I don't know what the hell kind of matchmaking system Bungie has decided to toss into Trials again, but this ain't it chief. I've got absolutely no clue as to why whenever the match matching was better years ago and the ONLY issue was no solo queue, Bungie decided, "ya now, let's start drastically changing everything for the hell of it." Makes 0 sense. But then again, we've been yelling at Bungie to fix these things for darn near 10 yrs and it hasn't gotten any better, so why even bother.

3 RespostasTo lose 0-5 when I’m at 5 wins is just a joke. We had no chance! I watched every match as my teammates just ran to their death. I couldn’t do anything. I mean, what the actual -blam!- is going on with matchmaking? There’s no way my teammates were even close to 5 wins, let alone 5 and flawless. What a -blam!- joke.

9 RespostasIdkw but every time I’m matched against two 1.5+k/d players or am up 2-0 matches and lose 5-2 and the lag gets so bad after the first couple matches it’s absolutely dumb. Whatever matchmaking algorithm Bungie is using for balancing is -blam!- stupid and needs a rework. I’d rather lose 0-5 to a good team then deal with this bullshit.

This is the design of trials. Just look at how the maths work. It cannibalises its own playlist by its very design. Anyone new is going to meet a wall of death. Everything you see (paid carrys, cheating, toxic behaviour etc) you can completely predict due to the design of the mode and how loot is distributed. Bungie have made some modifications (the persistence passage) to try and boost the mode with more lower skill players and reverse the trend but it’s a thumb in the dike (especially when that passage doesn’t work properly off the bat)
