You can go to your match history on this app/website and report them there.
But if you’re reporting for rude behavior nothing ever happens because of that

Editado por ㅤ Avvor: 2/12/2024 5:05:42 PMReporting someone for something they’ve said will absolutely do nothing btw Maybe if it was in chat and written down even then it’s not guaranteed
-
This is false... especially on console. I don't know how strict Sony is... but MS is pretty strict. Everything you say through a connected mic through their system is recorded and cached on dedicated rolling servers. Same with messaging. I censor myself even amongst my friends. If the OP believes the conduct was severe... they should use the guide I linked and use Sony's reporting system in addition.

Editado por Mortal_Resonance: 2/13/2024 11:45:46 PMSony are very firm with punishments, with bans adjusted depending on if the person is a frequent offender and the severity of the action. Source: I've had someone banned for a month for sending me abusive messages over PSN.

I’ve heard people say the most F’ed up -blam!- imaginable I’ve never seen a ban or suspension once over 4 years to anyone I’ve never even heard stories of people getting banned or suspended because of it
-
Well, I have. In fact... I've received 2 48hr suspensions for just arguing with people in a club (2 in the last 10 years). I think I called someone "dumb"... I'm not kidding. I'm as saccharin, as it gets. If you report someone, if it's valid... something usually happens. Here's some more info I know specifically about MS... they have a watch list. They'll flag and monitor your account specifically... and you won't even know about it. So yeah, stuff happens... this game is a business, so there's no 1st amendment conflict... and Bungie, MS, Sony, & Valve have the right to protect their investment and police conduct. This isn't a Mature game either... irregardless, certain behavior should be prohibited. Just because you haven't seen the consequences doesn't mean they don't happen. And if the OP's concerns are valid, they should absolutely stand up for themselves by following the appropriate channels to report said conduct.
-
Oh look, you’re lying again. Where’s your source for claiming that Sony and Microsoft are recording billions of gigabytes of peoples private conversations from Bungie’s products?
-
Editado por Mortal_Resonance: 2/13/2024 11:42:32 PMYou're looking at it from the wrong angle. Both Microsoft and Sony allow you to record clips and upload them, and it's this feature that is used in reporting. If you go into the PS5 Share settings, you can adjust the recording length up to the last 30 minutes of footage prior to clicking share. When you press the share key it doesn't magically reconstruct the last 30 minutes of footage - it's always recording and uses that footage. When you report someone for voice chat abuse, you're submitting your recording of the voice chat. If you report someone for text chat abuse, you submit a transcript of the text chat. Games consoles are essentially PVRs of your recent gaming sessions.

Editado por MisterJ: 2/12/2024 5:55:42 PMThank you for the helpful replies. I am not averse to idiots in lobbies but somethings i cannot accept. However, i also do not want to name and shame people publicly by moaning about things said..... i will leave that to bungie. On the whole been playing since D1 and of course there are always people you come across who are rude.. abusive... argue with you these are common occurances and are not worthy of my time to try and report. This particular player was out of order and deserves a ban from the game. His absence feom participating in co-op activities will not be missed by anyone By the way nothing he said was aimed directly at me nor was he rude to me but what he said deserves bungies time to investigate and ultimately deal with it

He’s not being helpful, he just completely lied to you. Do your own research.
