Checkmate trials is garbage
Checkmate feels so terrible to play in trials, please just leave trials alone and actually spend time and money developing new maps and game modes that arent just modifiers that go on top of clash or control. Nobody likes being restricted to double primary or not having a second weapon for a portion of the match, besides the top 1% of players that don't have a problem going flawless each week anyway.

1 ResponderTook me a while to find the perfect loadout, but once I did - it went great. My main issue was that my messenger wasn’t two-tapping that often, but once I switched off that, it was better. I would recommend just using double primary. Special was nice, but not needed. I. Fact, I would often find I was sitting on 4-5 rounds of special because I forgot to use it. Bows are the only thing I think needs tuning. Not just in checkmate, but in PVP as a whole. Far too oppressive given the generous aim assist and infinite ammo.

21 RespostasThe amount of device users I encountered this weekend is amazing. Before people say it ain't true, you can see in how they Tbag that they are using a device (Its slower on a controller than a mouse and keyboard) That being said, I managed to get 2 flawless runs in. One with a confidence card and the first one a mercy. Do I now say checkmate is good? No it isn't because using double primary is way more efficient than begging the system to grant you ammo on time, you ain't killing? No special. Basically making it a snowball effect if the team is already good, special will be granted to them. Basically my grievance I had with rise of iron trials back in the day, very passive play and special crate camping for snowballs was a regular back in the day or...just use special ammo weapons that broke the ammo economy Checkmate needs a lot more work honestly

3 RespostasThe flawless pool was also very healthy for the game in my opinion cause for the first 2 days the top 1% did nothing with trials and all the paid carry people stayed out too it actually made it possible for a guy like me to even manage to get the flawless seal

After my last attempt with trials, I'm definitely finished with this franchise and have moved onto helldivers 2. Genuinely, thank you for the first few years of original destiny as i have nothing good to say anymore for Destiny 2. If by any miracle I look into TFS, I'll be waiting for a sale as the current state isn't worth the base game. Thanks.

Nah I love it personally,not getting cheesed by fusion rifles and grenade launchers or abilities every engagement is amazing. Having actual gunfights feels amazing In my opinion,it was also my easiest trials card ever since it was all up to my primary weapon gun skill,I’m not cracked by any sense of the word but for once I truly had fun.

1 ResponderGonna have to disagree with you on this one. Kinda refreshing not having to deal with shotgun apes and fusion mains. Just wish they would’ve dealt with threaded spector because even with ability cool downs being higher I still see a lot of them.

1 ResponderIts actually alright. I enjoy peaking lanes and not getting headshot every time by 0.8kds. If you want special you actually have to do something for it and supers are irrelevant. Not a perfect mode by any means but definitely better than regular trials currently.

The people who like it are sick of OHK and ability spam. Don’t worry you still get trials the way you like 80-90% of time.

6 RespostasCheckmate is garbage. Ability spam (which isn't an issue in checkmate) is garbage. Bows are garbage. Hand cannons are garbage. Fusion rifles are garbage. Snipers are garbage.... Apparently. At this point I think the players and BungLes community is garbage, and nothing will ever make them happy. Meanwhile some of us just play the game, and adapt or change how we approach Trials and keep getting wins. I hit my 63rd Flawless on Friday....

I actually liked trials of the nine better than trials of Osiris. This no special ammo on spawn seems nice. Not saying the mode is perfect but much better than regular trials.
