Change the Necrochasm catalyst please
Please give necrochasm its d1 functionality with the catalyst where it causes the cursed thrall explosions with bodyshot kills too. That would actually be a catalyst worth grinding for instead of pointlessly giving the gun outlaw when it’s reload speed is already 76, it doesn’t need more reload speed.

1 ResponderNo it should trigger the explosions on rapid precision hits. That way it can be good for higher health enemy’s. Or give it 4th times the charm and a magazine increase to 64

1 ResponderI don't know if it has been said in this post yet but, Outlaw increases the animation scalar on a weapon allowing it to go beyond the normal 100 reload speed of a weapon. Not saying that makes it better but it is an improvement over any weapon that has max reload. As for the buffed version of the original D1 version I will say it sucks in PvE not being able to trigger the explosion on body but, in crucible the thing is nasty when you're able to proc the explosion around other enemy players resulting in easy double and triple kills. If this thing were to be able to proc it on any kill it would break it in the crucible. Yet again solidifying the reason why PvE/PvP weapon and ability function need to be separated from each other.

I was thinking about this too. It's especially weird when you consider the other Raid weapons get the cursed thrall explosion on body shot kills with their intrinsic perk... yes you need a melee kill first but that's hardly a hurdle. At this point Necrocasm is just a weapon that rolls with desperado and firefly, but they split firefly into two, requiring the catalyst to give the reload boost. The catalyst should do something different, possibly something that would make it useful for more than just add clearing. I think someone mentioned maybe having the thrall explosion trigger on sustained fire or rapid prescion hits. Really anything more than just outlaw. This isn't the seasonal craft able exotic so don't being making the Catalyst into a generic perk...

Melee with necrotic grips and you can body shot for the same effect.

2 RespostasCould've given it zen moment or subsistence. Reduce reticle bounce to more easily land precision kills or keep refilling the magazine to make it the add clear weapon they wanted it to be.

Give it “the elementals” perk like hardlight and borealis but darkness instead of light. Call it something else like darkness embraced or something IDC. Stasis gives 15 recoil direction. Strand gives 20 AE and regular kinetic give 5 to each stat EX. +5 to range, stability, handling, reload and AA(since kinetic mods cost the most). Boom u have a darkness weapon that gets benefits and synergies with all darkness subclass builds. This goes farther than just stat boosts since u can activate aspects with it.

8 RespostasIt ought to be changed, but I don't think they'll make it happen on bodyshots. It's already very close in function to Sunshot, and deep down, I think they regret the Trinity Ghoul Catalyst making its perk activate on any (Arc) kill. I think Zen Moment would be an appropriate perk, that's also a call-back to the D1 version. If they wanted to go really wild, give it Sword Logic.
