In Destiny the devs be like:
In wanting Veil Containment to be something discoverable, we went a little too far in one direction and made the activity hard to find,
Its not like you are exploring a cave or anything and stumble across something, kinda like the whisper quest. No, they just hid the start button on the map.
Lol, you cant make this up. What the hell happened to you, Bungie? Bunch of slackers.

This isn’t elden ring. It’s low quality what do you expect.

1 ResponderWell, when you hire women with zero gaming experience to write your stories, and specifically only because they are women, this is what you get.
-
You know what's fun? Destiny used to have something similar to this idea, or at least, as close as you could get with the extremely limited way Bungie decided to design environments. In D1, you had the Dead Ghosts to find. Nothing ground breaking, but it was something, and that sort of system was reused for other things, like the Calcified Fragments on the Dreadnought or the SIVA nanite clusters. Destiny 2, when first released, had scannable objects you could find off the beaten path (relatively speaking) that told minor stories or offered small questions about certain things. It was even marketed as a "compelling" feature when the game was first coming out as a way to make the world feel more alive. Guess what? All that stuff went away. You can still find remnants of it when Bungie reuses an asset that's still flagged as scannable, but Ghost will say nothing about it if you scan it (at least one of these exists in the Deep Dive mission and there was the well-known one on the Helm just last season). They don't care. Even the logs that are supposed to help explain the Veil care more about Chioma and Maya's relationship than anything else, because surface-level partner woes is all this team wants to write about; believing it's a "good story" while the actual story sits in the background begging to be shown.

8 Respostas“You see those mountains? You can go there” -someone from the D1 showcase Still makes me laugh, what does explore mean to them after all.
-
You see this story, lets make it stupider and ignore the lore, retcon that! retcon this right now! #Disney moment/Bungie.
-
Collecting ghosts in D1 for lore in itself wasn’t really fun but good times with the buds cruising around having a chat whilst we collected them.
-
Logging in weekly for lore is dumb on the face of it.
-
1 ResponderSee that mountain over there, you can go there.........
-
Kinda miss having those scannables where you can get more backstory to them and stuff.
-
It's not that the activity was hard to find, nobody cared enough to do it.

Editado por DragonKnight901: 7/29/2023 11:33:43 AMApologies in advance just incase, It’s not really hidden if there is 20 or more videos explaining how to get said treasure or explaining the lore/ just a video of the dialogue poping up on youtube in a few hours or on the next day and then we are back here in the same situation.
-
About the only things to find are the cats and the gold chests. I don't explore that much because most of that stuff - over there - doesn't really exist.
-
3 RespostasThe veil containment idea of “visit random place” and listen to lady read her diary is an extremely boring way of uncovering lore. Hope they are not this uncreative for final shape.

10 RespostasRemnant 2 is satisfying those elements ! I have no clue what I’m doing so I’m just exploring and finding all kinds of stuff . It’s worthwhile and interesting. Loot worth chasing . Destiny used to be like that .
-
The story is lame asf anyways. I’m just here to shoot enemies in the face.

I love this stuff in games. I really wish Bungie would reward exploration.

18 RespostasThese guys making D2, their idea of a sandbox is actually a box. A small one too. 🤣 With a wheel inside the box. Like a hamster wheel. See the picture?… 🤣 Every now and then, they throw in old toys you’ve already played. Inside that small box. 🤣 Absolutely nothing here but a shamble mess of shallowness!🤣

3 RespostasEditado por TheShadow: 7/28/2023 1:33:34 AMWait a minute, you said, "explore"? How can anyone explore with all the CoD borders blocking you from going anywhere other then following their paths in their oh-so-big "open worlds" that are actually just tiny maps 😄
-
They got extremely lazy.
-
I used to enjoy collecting the dead ghosts
-
And just like every other time they made a poor decision in the game, notice how they didn't apologize for not putting enough emphasis on important lore in the game.

2 RespostasI gave the game up and finishing games I neglected due to D2. Like Far Cry 6. I found out that you can transmog everything, for free. You can mod your guns by collecting and earning materials, no RNG required. You can explore every where on the map. Fishing is an actual game. Just waiting for Starfield, Phantom Liberty and STALKER 2 now.
