You said you were taking action against input mod devices. They are more real in the Crucible than ever. Stick to what you say and ban all of these cheaters. You pay all this money to developers to make an amazing game and then you let the cheaters destroy it by altering the way it should be played. Do something or tell us you actually aren't planning on doing anything...

2 RespostasThe way they explained it means that all they'll be able to do is stop new cheaters. By seeing an unusual spike in pvp performance they are identifying cronus/xim users. If the cheaters have been using it for a while before they won't be able to do anything or identify them.

1 ResponderYou honestly think they are going to; 1. Be able to detect mod devices 2. Be able to determine who is using it for accessibility reasons and those who are using it to game the system 3. Then actually do something about it? K.

Editado por $hirtless Captain Kirk: 4/26/2023 10:10:22 AMThey never said they were banning anyone. All they did was type a bunch of bs to make sheep believe something was happening. All they talk about are giving out warnings. Nothing is happening. Go read exactly what they said again. All they did was try to scare a few people by saying a bunch of double speak nonsense. I think usage may have dropped a bit on console, but it'll tick right back up. 1. They can't do sh*t 2. Neither can the other game devs 3. All this bs is PR and not real

9 RespostasIve been keeping a pulse on the issue & here is the general ghist my guy. Bungie has not banned a single accound yet for 3rd party usage. The moderators for these 3rd party devices have made statements such as: "no update to ToS when you log in till then you cant be banned, when it does they may have updated detection" "no account user has reached out out having received a ban or warning" "our devices are not the reason & unlikely to get you banned, its the other 3rd party devices that this is meant to target" These are from their offical sites, however some are private networks that dont allow you to see discussions unless you are a registered user(which i am not). Lasty their has been no "banned" topic here on the Bungie fourms, in the past such as when Bungie added Battleeye the forums were rife "I got banned for no reason". Bungie has a record of ban waves & the issue of 3rd party devices has not entered this stage. Either Bungie is collecting data rn or they still have no means of detecting said devices.

3 RespostasLmfao that can't even ban a dude flying around with a 900rpm xeno....
-
They updated/clarified their policy on devices that can be used for accessibility and/or cheating. Some people interpreted this as a new crackdown on cheating devices. I don’t see anything different happening. If they had new and improved cheat detection, surely they’d announce it. Better to discourage people cheating than have to ban them, right?

This game is in the bogs.

9 RespostasEditado por Mara Sov’s Step Bro: 4/25/2023 2:48:42 AMThey aren’t going to announce it. They’ll just do it if they do. You don’t announce bans - because that way script writers can go back more easily and find what caused them to be detected. If they do announce bans - they’ve been detected months in advance
-
Hate to break it to you but most of that money is going into their newer projects

4 RespostasMaybe those people are just that good? Some people can actually aim with a controller, despite what bad M&K users say.
-
5 RespostasI see them taking action about these users & issuing bans. What are you talking about??
-
Can you give a few examples of cheaters using these 3rd party devices on consoles?
-
Part of me wonders if they can even tell and BattleEye is just a facade. Some of the base aim console assisted headshots I was hitting with my Opening Shot/Moving Target Frozen Orbit were reportable.
-
Without a doubt Bungie was bluffing and probably has no way to ban those players who clearly cheat.
-
15 RespostasRemember kiddo, just because they are better than you, doesn't mean they're cheating

1 ResponderThey get a lot of free publicity from streamers, who are using those products, so I doubt they are actually going to do anything about it.
