ARTIFICE ARMOR Retroactive?
Can anyone confirm if the artifice armor will be retroactive with the new changes. I couldn't find anywhere that stated it. and when people asked they seemed to dodge the question. I just want to know before I farm and waste time grinding armor that will have to be replaced.

I hope the EP event that’s coming next week is going to drop artifice armor.

1 ResponderI’ve personally chosen not to bother farming any Artifice this season. While they haven’t stated one way or the other this is Bungie we’re talking about so there is a very good chance that the changes won’t be retroactive in the end.

They say it's retroactive, but we all know how long it took to fix the issues Artifice armor had with seasonal mods borking them so I wouldn't hold my breathe that something doesn't go wrong when converting them and then waiting weeks and seasons for fixes...

They haven’t given a definitive answer. I personally think existing armor will continue to work unless the have some sort of issue like they did at the start of one of the seasons where artifice slots vanished

4 RespostasIt doesn't look good, sry. Here's what they said I'm paraphrasing... artifice will get an extra slot but will only be able to slot artifact stat mods... for now. I stopped grinding for it, until I know exactly what is up.

If it’s changed, you’ll still have armor that’s better than regular armor lol

I am assuming that it will be a yes? They slots will just have the new +3 selection rather than the combat mods. But its bungie.. they could simply say " we couldnt fix that on the Artifice armor, so you will have to go get each pc again with the rolls you want which are all rng based, good luck"

I’ll be honest I’d gotten my armour stats just right for me give or take a few sub class changes so I’m not going to be impressed if they’re not updated with lightfall. Zero reason to come back if I’ve got to start from scratch.

I’m not sure I understand the question. Artifice armor already has the extra slot. It’s just getting repurposed to give +3 to a stat instead of allowing extra an artifact mod.

Since Bungie is refusing to say anything, this probably means that they will not convert. If it was an easy “Oh, Don’t worry about it. Nothing will change. Have fun & farm away” they would’ve said something to encourage more people to continue to play the game.
