This game would be better off, just saying.
No need to develop and test.
Use any weapons you want.
Mods not locked behind progression.
Armor mod slots can be used for what you want.
Stronger enemies can be put in their place.

1 ResponderI think champions are obsolete anyway, they have stopped being a threat a long time ago, and just exist to take up mod space Get rid of champions and have more Stasis,Light and even Strand enemy units
-
I agree.
-
1 ResponderChampions, at least for me, ruin every activity they are introduced in. The champion system is restrictive and annoying. It should’ve been scrapped back in shadowkeep, and I’m genuinely surprised Bungie seems to think it’s a good idea.

They need to be removed, they where added to be a challenge ( mainly because they lack Creative skill to come up with anything else). They make you play a certain way and use certain guns.

1 ResponderEditado por HaVoK308: 1/6/2023 9:40:20 AMAgreed. Add more enemies, give them more heath, etc. for an increase in difficulty. It’s not the actual champions though. It’s the limitations put on your weapon load outs. The Lightbearers are a good example of what they should focus on.
-
Instead of champions which are easy to take down with the right weapon we’d get bullet sponges. I’d rather the champions. D1 did the bullet sponges and it wasn’t well liked.
-
Editado por Mara Sov’s Step Bro: 1/5/2023 3:34:43 PMCap. People whined about champions since their release. They are challenging enemies and make the game difficult. The only valid argument was the lack of champ mods but now almost every exotic has an intrinsic champ mod anyways. Only place I will agree champs don’t belong is in raids.
-
4 RespostasI can think it’s well established by the majority that it’s the restrictive mods that are the problem.
-
1 ResponderIMO Champions are not the problem. How it’s implemented is the issue. The Mod system is and always have been is too restrictive. And there’s an easy fix. Just make the champion mods universally equipable. Let us play how we want. And don’t give me “we’ll all just wind up using the same thing” How is that any different than we’re doing now? lol It makes zero sense. The System needs to evolve.
-
3 RespostasI'd just be happy if the mods worked every time... I can shoot an unstoppable champ 5 times with a nade launcher with unstoppable active without stunning it, I have overload champs teleporting behind me after stunning them for them to insta-kill me, then I have barrier champs health shooting to full while they're stunned and I'm still shooting them with anti-barrier pulse.
-
8 RespostasGod no. Without champions, Destiny's difficulty is dumbed down to matching colors.
-
8 RespostasI’m just curious, how do you make an enemy stronger than a champion? Make him longer to kill - bullet sponge? No fun. Make him teleport non stop and have even more elusive ai programming? I don’t think so, no thank you. So what? Easier to complain than to find solutions, been married long enough to know that lol. Please, enlighten me.
-
Bump. Didn’t DMG leave or something? He can take his champions with him. We don’t want them.
-
5 RespostasYou are going to love Lightfall then because "fans" want more champion like enemies rather than hive lightbearers. This is what bungie has said. lol they are out of touch sometimes it seems, other times right on point. Can't win em all! Champions are... inconsistent to say the least and need some lve and tlc if anything to improve their performance and stun consistency.
-
Those new Tormentors look annoying to deal with in the first place Tormentor CHAMPIONS would be a -blam!- NIGHTMARE
-
Champions feel more like an inconvenience than a challenge, won't care if they disappeared would save me the eye rolls when I see bungie put them in an activity to make it harder.
-
I don’t really care about champs. Match game is definitely an obnoxious modifier though.
-
1 ResponderI’ll take champions over a wyvern or brigs any day of the week 🥸
-
It’s just a cheap lazy way of making content more difficult. Instead of changing the mechanics like they did in D1, they copy and paste champions along with match game. “Love it. Ship it”
-
2 Respostas
This game would be better off, just saying.
Ah, you were not here when champions aren’t here before. Correct, the game was better off without it then. It’s a lazy game design. Not to mention terrible design if this is what you can even call game design nowadays. No wonder I don’t play anymore. Game feels like a joke. Hahaha!
-
No need to develop and test cuz basic enemies with a gimmic and grinding your balls off to have enough light and season extra points to play a game mode that shoves you into contest mode anyways means it was developed to clarify...... higher level pve is lazy af not counting raids and dungeons
-
2 RespostasI’d rather keep Champs and drop anything involving match game…
-
2 RespostasWithout champions, all of you would still be hiding in the back and taking potshots at enemies with a scout rifle, sniper and a rocket launcher. Embrace the new meta and play around with some guns. Keeps things fresh.

I think the issue is bungie isn't creative enough or this game is too complicated to work with(or some combination of the 2) in order to provide actual difficulty
