Wouldn't the opposite be true? SBMM keeps literal kids happy by providing them with protective skill brackets that keeps them safe from outliers. CBMM caters to a broad range of players and many have improved under it. You just actively chose not to. Maybe put in the work like they did to play at a high standard instead of running away from it? Because you definitely aren't getting SBMM in a party mode.

  • Sbmm matches you against players at your skill and sometimes above and below, either helping you improve or knocking you back down allowing skill development over time. Cbmm clumps everyone together meaning lesser skilled players are matching better players more often then not providing no real level of improvement. Cant really improve if your constantly dead can you now.

“Match better players more often than not” there’s literally more casual players than anything lol you know that right?

  • You got numbers or some scale proving this information? For lesser skilled players cbmm is a nightmare.

It’s common sense really, the top 1% are the top 1% because there’s so few of them lol you aren’t playing sweats every game. Also looking at your previous games besides the one where you went against a stack and didn’t back out for some reason… you were losing to primarily bronze and silver players when you yourself are a gold player. Just something to think about

Don't get me wrong, I hate stacks and clans that subvert the system - but it is incredibly easy to improve in normal CBMM conditions. These people literally just don't want to face good players. That's it. How much do you want to bet that people will continue to complain about CBMM in Iron Banner months down the line because they didn't actually improve under SBMM? Going into any other playlist will be a reality check for these people.

  • And the top5% just want to curb stomp in cbmm. There has to be some level of skill base in matching or you end up with this divide we are seeing

  • The way I see it - the top 5% is not a divide. That's a rare occurrence. They are called "top 5%" for a reason. Realistically, you'd probably be upset going against anyone in the above average range, or anything in the top 20%. However, the ability to 6 stack in CBMM clumps these margins together. It doesn't matter how good they are - if even a half decent team is stacking in control they are GOING to farm. I genuinely think that is where the problem lies. Control needs freelance, or should only allow duos.
Sometimes above and below, either helping you improve or knocking you back down allowing skill development over time.
That's the illusion of improvement. Instead of playing with a broader variety of players, it's determining what might be best for you on a match to match basis, bouncing you back and forth from game to game until you plateau at a bracket. I assure you, months could pass under SBMM and the same players will still complain about CBMM in other modes due to a lack of personal performance. Most of these players will not get better, making reality hit harder once they jump into Iron Banner.
Cbmm clumps everyone together meaning lesser skilled players are matching better players more often then not providing no real level of improvement.
Blatantly untrue. Me and many others have improved in CBMM. We didn't exactly start off getting killstreaks and snipes. CBMM still provides a place to improve if you WANT to thanks to a broad variety of skill levels. Unfortunately many simply choose not to, and instead refuse to accept the fact that other players may be better than them. The main problem was stacks. Control is supposed to cater to a multitude of skill ranges - but thanks to the popularity of "3.0+ KD Six- Stack Control" farmers completely destroying the state of crucible, it didn't appear that way.
