Fusion rifles are broken as -blam!- in PvP
Fusions used to be high risk high reward now they are no risk highest reward.
When they werent hitscan they had a possible inconsistency
Bungie changes them to hitscan making them the most consistent secondary in the game
Only high impacts were good
So bungie makes high impacts -blam!- and increases the power of all other archetypes
They had one competitor, shotguns
So bungie brings shotguns to where they should be and buffs fusions
If you think this comes just from me dying to a fusion you are deeply mistaken, I wanted to test if it was just me so I equipped different archetypes of fusions and outside of high impacts they are all cracked as -blam!-,
oh no I forgot to precharge….oh we’ll rapid fire frames don’t give a -blam!- they charge and kill faster than most things
Hah lol you are 20 metres away ….. charges any archetype and wins the fight
They have no weakness in PvP anymore sort this -blam!- out everyone knows they are busted, even the people who use them know they are even if they won’t admit it as they don’t want to lose their easy mode weapons
Turns out I was right….. here comes the fusion army here to defend their crutch with only a few actually being productive in their opinions

I love how their defense is - get more skills and listen for them! If you hear them you have time to hide ahurhur……… does it really need to be said that we so much of our gameplay shouldn’t center around listening for fusion rifle users in the middle of crucible Matches?

3 RespostasCope. An aggressive frame built for range will push 17 meters if you get lucky. Sure, people can be annoying corner camping with them, but shotgunners can do the same thing. Sounds like a skill issue.

few things to counter them. Play with sound so you hear the charge. Don't run out into the open/stick to cover Peek shoot ( You can do this with any weapon )

You act like shotguns haven't ALWAYS been the go-to crutch for brainless people even though they still are (and you're using them on TWO of your characters). Shotguns also have far and above the most kills even with the fusion buff. Sit down, you dirty ape.

3 RespostasUm they weren't hitscan they are now hitscan go back to the twab before witch queen it states that fusions and sidearms aren't hitscan and will be on an upcoming hotfix

You’re the problem not fusions. Use a hc instead of a shotgun. You’ll be ok and still meta with the other sweatlord forever nerds.

I tend not to stand still, or charge at anyone that has a fusion - flank them, team shoot, 60% of the time, it works every time

3 RespostasWell… If fusions get nerfed, shotguns will certainly be next after they run dominant in the crucible. People really should be trying to protect their shotguns from being hit (again). The lack of understanding for cause and effect on the forums is astounding. You all might want to consider your options of complaining VERY carefully, before you end up regretting what your about to bring against yourself. You’ve been warned.

Rapid fire frames are inconsistent as hell and if I miss one bolt and you live, congratulations on your free shotgun kill. Precision frames are the issue, they map consistently. If they're going to have more range, the spread should be a little wider just like it is on shotguns and rapid fire fusion rifles. Rapid fire fusion rifles should be a little more consistent, right now I can see the bolts flying out in random directions like a shotgun but worse, I already have to charge my shot and the bolts don't come out all at once so either change that or make it more consistent.

Too much special weapon usage in the crucible anymore, invis hunters every single game! Its getting worse and don’t really see bungie fixing it! I dont believe they know how too! It actually seems like its too broken to fix, maybe not worth the effort, who knows! I guess adapt or play a different game, it sucks to accept but thats where its at!

Fushion meta is finally something new. I embrace the fwooop overlords. Shotguns are so boring to use and die too. I like 1v1 fushion fights in 6's. It doesnt help that a titan rally barricade pushes the range of fushions to stupid lvls. But then again imo fushion can be counterd pretty easily. Often enough a shotgun rusher can still get the better of me with good movement.

1 ResponderThey aren't overpowered, only some perk combinations make them overpowered. Pre nerf erintil with pre nerf backup plan was busted. This is just annoying because xur sold 2 god rolls and now you can just craft likely suspect and put in a nasty roll.

Shotguns are still better than Fusions overall, especially slugs. They're probably the special that'll be the best for most players, and snipers win it overall lol. Fusions were notorious for being completely reliant on connection quality pre-hitscan. And we're pretty bad after the first nerf or two they got after D1, rarely clawing their way back up. There's still plenty of risk and weakness to running a Fusion, as well, since they're bad on tight angles and with fast horizontal movement. There's also the whole radar and sound thing, too, least for the popular options. The only primaries they're outranging are sidearms, too.
