Yes the campaign was good but once you get past that this season is lacking and the outlook for the year is depressing and straight out sad if you're a solo player. Bungie had a golden opportunity with the most eyes on their game in a while to present something fresh and return some goodwill to a burnt out player base but they whiffed again. Instead we still get a slow trickle season with the same stale grind that forces people into playlists' that are polarizing to say the least 3 times a week each for 52 weeks a year. The crucible is long dead if people can run double specials effectively it's wrecked. Gambit even though I don't hate it as much as most it is not in a good place same 3 maps worse heavy cheese. The strike playlist is mind numbing at this point. The new seasonal events are a retreaded repetitive loop that wear's out quickly. They still choose to lock a portion of their player base out a chunk of content. Legend nf's and higher, vox obscura, wellspring master, legend doa's, dungeons for but the top 5%,and raid's (which is the only one of those that I can somewhat understand). As far as matchmaking or the lack there of goes I've heard all the reasons and just don't buy it. They were some of the same reasons they use to give for trial's but it didn't break the game when they opened that up. As far as the lame champion mod defense goes make people have one equipped to enter matchmaking. The friend game works for some but not for all and there is never a disclaimer that says warning playing alone will greatly diminish and limit your experience. Most of what I have mentioned are all old problems and they didn't fix or address any of them. I am not asking for them to reinvent the wheel but just to make it round. Instead they invested in this poorly executed weapon crafting that no one was asking for and honestly provides little use especially for the effort it requires. They may say oh enhanced traits but test those traits and see how minimal that is. Use 1 2 punch as an example they make something good and trash it right away. Plus it only compounds a vault space issue that has been a thorn for years. I understand I will probably get shredded for this and people will say if you don't like it leave. That's the thing, I probably will and I won't be alone and all you faithful which I do respect will be left to fight each other for the bones again. I just sometimes question if bungie even know's anymore what has made this game great in the past and it's grind fulfilling. There has to be a way that they can monetize our time without degrading the power fantasy.
