STOP CAPPING CURRENCY!!!!!!
Stop capping seasonal currency.
You've made it impossible to do the Elbrus quest on alts, because we can't earn any more of it.
Why do you insist on doing stupid sh!t like this?? Can't access the psi ops activity, which is the only place to spend it, so we can make the room necessary to collect more.
You do so much cool stuff and then you frack it up wth these bonehead decisions.

1 ResponderAfter beating the campaign, I’m loosing interest to play any further because qol changes, that community requested was just ignored. Instead of exploring new location and having fun, I have to do all this stupid micromanagement with currencies, over complicated crafting system, and horrible rng.

Yeah it’s getting a bit silly at this point, along with needing the “Heinz variety” of currencies to do something.

I would love to hear any counter arguments in favor of currency caps: If a player grinds out a ton of currency so that they don't have to grind as much in the future, how does a cap help the game? If I need X amount of resource to do or make something, why does it matter whether I grind it out in a day or spread it out over a week? In the end I still have to find the same amount as anyone else.

how else are they going to rob us by forcing us to "store" them in the Postmaster, only for them to get kicked out by a bunch of blues?

I just lost a bunch of enhancement prisms and ascendant shards because they were stuck in my postmaster for weeks. I've had hundreds of armor drops all under 60 stats so zero reason to use them... It's made picking up rewards from vendors a huge pain too. The caps are stupid. Low light level engrams keep dropping like crazy so that also filled up my inventory and post master. Why not make the engrams like my vendors that have 50+ by the end of the season because the rolls are so crappy it's not worth turning in...

Should have been if you have at least 500 in inventory you just move on to the next step. They've done that before with another season's currency, don't know why they decided it needed to be a pain in the -blam!- again.

2 RespostasI’m pretty sure we all know it’s intentional. They do -blam!- like this all the time and praise them when they finally decide to “fix” it. Bungie is quite predatory and they are well versed in manipulation.

2 RespostasCan't agree hard enough. I wasted so much time farming psychogenic Intel before I realized I was capped and not progressing the psyops quest. There's not even p2p trading in this game... wtf does it matter if I have a fat stack of psychogenic Intel?! I still have to complete a psyops mission just to spend 500. My vault is full of red-boxed loot because all mats are capped because I can't do any interesting crafting because the new golf ball doesn't drop. So much for crafting alleviating vault space issues.

I'm gonna be that guy here........please read this thoroughly. If you delete it from your inventory you can progress the alts because obtaining it is account wide. Now the ONLY saving throw here is that the seasonal currency drops by the hundreds so you can refill rapidly. So step 1 workaround - Delete the currency from inventory it wipes the entire stockpile (2000 is max). Step 2 - Regrind the material it drops in massive amounts. Step 3 rinse and repeat for alts who need quest progression. As for why they cap the currency.......Logic dictates it's for replay ability reasons. You wouldn't replay as often if you could stock up to absurdly high amounts. But again that being said the Umbral energy drops are garbage right now. Long live Bungie's drip feed......the way to shove your community into a bottleneck and make your seasons artificially last.

You do so much cool stuff and then you frack it up wth these bonehead decisions.[/quote] yeah i was wondering why tf i wasn't getting any, took me a few seconds to notice my stack of 2000 was max, had to delete it just to be able to start getting some again. previous seasons currency had no limit, but now there is for literally no valid reason, i would've finished that quest step ages ago if it weren't for the dumb cap

The more you generalise the whole company, the longer that particular person takes to see the feedback after curation from the CM team (no disrespect to them ofc). It took one google search to find the linkdin profile of the economy design lead. Just a habit I wish more people who actually wanna do more than scream into the void would implement into their posts Edit: By no means do I endorse harassment for anyone at bungie. I just want the relevant people to see the relevant messages for them with as little barriers as possible

For me the silliest part is that we have extra steps again. We need intel to do the thing to get the umbral stuff to focus engrams. Didn't we just have a couple of seasons where they cut out the pointless middleman? And weren't the caps on the materials we did have much higher? It really is hard to ignore these little things when they keep flip-flopping like this. One step forward, one step back for some reason.

Dumb question. Is there a place I can see how much currency I have other than the crafting screen? I’d like to keep track of my inventory when I’m out in the game world leveling weapons

I noticed they also capped the weapon insight currencies at 250.. i haven't been shaping weapons at all because i don't have patterns for decent guns.. I go to get Ruinous whatever and it says I'm at 250/250 lol
