I far preferred pellet shotgun meta over this. There is literally nothing more annoying than someone running at you in the straightest line possible with chaperone and killing you from over 15m and getting away with it, it is unreasonably difficult to play against and no you absolutely could not do the same thing with pellet shotguns pre nerf.

Like I’m glad Chaperone is great but the fact people who never picked up a Slug in their life have it so easy with Chap is ridiculous to say the least.

For me, it’s the flinch. Slugs just don’t seem to take any sort of flinch no matter the weapon I use. A Fatebringer with explosive, Multimach with near perfect accuracy, or a Igneous just do nothing.

I don’t know what it is but all the precision weapons just seem to take so little flinch. Slugs while sliding are the exact same as opposed to not sliding and being shot at, sniper flinch makes it so you get placed on the head if you’re off target, and linears(heavy and special) are even worse than pre-nerf sniper flinch.

I’ve got no problem with the range, more the house-sized hitboxes. It’s insanely easy to use
