Would you mind clarifying? As I understand such is just for whether you want to use KBM or Controller.
Are there more nefarious uses possible with such hardware?

There is a lot of bad information below. Xim is just an adapter; nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't do macro scripting like Titan and Cronus.

hmmm...that's why I asked, because as I understood it was just an adapter...but it seems others disagree.

It can be setup quite easily to manage recoil, on console weapons like Auto rifles and SMG's can be made almost laser like, I'm pretty sure you can make almost every weapon fire full auto as well, not 100% sure on this but I believe it can be done but not with native XIM software.

the newer ones can be programmed with stuff that manipulates inputs.

I know it allows people to use m&k on there consoles with the same aim assist that a controller provides while still having benefits of m&k. Also some settings that help with recoil and make your weapons very stable

Programming it and being able to map controls are two very distinct things.

The main issue i think is the extra aim assist with mnk.. so you have the snappiness and forgiveness.. Other have said it think you can also set certain parameters to help with recoil etc providing even more advantages. They're for scrubs.

Makes sense. Once I realized it wasn't just a port adapter, but also programmable I immediately realized the potential for cheatery.
