i have been a destiny fan for about 5 months, and i heavily enjoyed the game… that is until this past week. i received a 2 week restriction for “bad connection quality” from all gambit and crucible playlists. which means that i have no access to them for 2 weeks. i wasn’t even aware my internet was an issue and never received even a warning from bungie regarding a restriction, so now i can no longer grind my pinnacle gear on ANY OF MY CHARACTERS and i can’t do trials which i was actually super excited to try. i fixed my internet issue as soon as i received the restriction and submitted an appeal. i had to wait almost two days to hear back from them at 1 am and i was told that the restriction stands. so now i can’t enjoy the content that i freaking paid for and im furious, this needs to be fixed or i want a refund

This restriction IS your warning, and your notice that its an issue. You only received this because you were the target of MULTIPLE complaints from other players with regards to your connection quality. (You were probably teleporting, rubber-banding and not taking damage normally). So it was negatively impacting the enjoyment of the game by others. The restriction was to motivate you to do exactly what you did....FIX THE PROBLEM. If you actually fixed it, then you should have no other problems once the restriction is lifted. You can go back to playing. Bungie does this because many people will simply ignore the problems....and continue to play...even after the intial restriction is lifted. They eventually go on to get permanently banned if they refuse to fix the problem.
this needs to be fixed or i want a refund
You're entitled to neither. Go read your EULA/Software user's agreement. Its a contract you signed before Bungie allowed you to play their game. YOU agreed that what you were purchasing was access to play THEIR game....and that Bungie had the right to restrict your access or revoke it if you were engaging the game in a way that was damaging to it. ...and having an internet connection that is so poor that its negatively impacting the play experience of others in the lobby rises to lhat level. So Bungie was WELL within their rights to suspend you from play....and put you on notice that you needed to fix the problem. Like I said....the suspension was your warning-and-notice....and if you fixed the problem, then simply wait out the suspension and resume playing when it lifts. You can survive not playing pvp for a week. Think of it as a punishment for damaging the experience of others. Which is what it is.

Whoaaaaa 5 whole months

I dunno. One less rubber banding player for 2 weeks seems pretty good to me. Bungie ain’t so bad eh?
-
You deserved it.

2 Respostasi dont understand why yall dont see the points i made in my original post. not only was i not aware of the issue, i was never given a warning either. i wouldve fixed it if i did. i dont care that much about playing crucible or gambit they are fun modes, but now i cant do seasonal challenges, i didnt get to finish iron banner, i cant do trials, i cant do my pinnacle for two weeks, these modes are not even ranked modes and i didnt do it for an advantage. so why punish someone without warning for something that they didnt know was going on and keep them for playing the game they enjoy even after they fixed the issue

Bad connection ruins the exoeriance for everyone you play with 2 weeks isn't a ling time just wait it out and since you say you fixed your connection it should be good
-
It seems to me the 2 week ban got your internet to be better! That's worth the 2 weeks away from Crucible cuz we don't play Gambit here anyway. Silver lining my friend, silver lining.
