Where did you get the idea it's a shotgun counter?

That's what fusion rifles always were meant to be in the last 7 years. Counters to shotgun rusher due to their higher range than shotguns as same as the burst damage. Vex however is a full-auto single-bolt fusion rifle. One that hits like back in D1 pre-nerf. As I said to the other guy, just wait for Trials to come around, then you will see sweats only using Vex or a HC.

It's not a typical fusion rifle though. It functions as an auto rifle, thst takes fusion mods, so... No. It's not a shotgun counter.

Vex specifically not, but the weapon class is meant to be. If Vex is allowed to be an exception, this will shift all players to Vex, since players use the way of least resistance to achieve their goals.

Vex is an exotic. It functions like an auto rifle. Stop being stupid, and just consider it as an auto. It does not fit into any fusion archetype, so stop seeing it that way. That thought process is both brain dead and idiotic. If you're going to complain, just say you want it nerfed. Don't try to analyse a gun you clearly don't know anything about, other than "This gun shoots the hurty juice."

In D1 it got nerfed because it was too efficient in killing opponents in pvp. The same will happen in D2 as well. Even if I consider it as an auto rifle, you seem to forget that it still has an alternate fire mode, allowing it to become a OHK-Linear fusion in pvp, no matter how hard I put it in correlation to an auto rifle. Basically it is: * An auto rifle with Linear Fusion fire mode * A fusion rifle with Linear Fusion fire mode * A rapid-fire scout rifle with Linear Fusion fire mode * A rapid-fire pulse rifle with Linear Fusion fire mode No matter how you look at it. It can cover too many gun range roles at the same time in default fire mode and also covers in addition mid range sniper rifle qualities. Now tell me again I don't know the gun, because right now the gun can cover almost every range with the default fire, forcing opponents to rather flee when attacked on longer ranges or die in closer ones as long as the Vex User is only half-competent in aiming.

But we're not talking about any of that. You said that it is supposed to cover close range, like most fusions. Which tells me that you don't know a damn thing. It's not a scout, it doesn't function as a fusion rifle. The only reason anyone is having an issue is because it's slightly fast than say... Halfdan but it hits the same.

Dude, the rate of fire is not the problem. The problem is the range the gun has. You can fight with it on almost every range, depending on the fire modes. It has almost no downsides other than needing to charge the Linear Fusion fire mode.

I'm an imbecile? You literally said Vex should be a close range only weapon, despite sharing it's original fire rate and damage model with longer range autos. You're not even a complete moron. You're so stupid, that you couldn't even properly address what I was originally saying without moving the goalposts. I only said it was never a shotgun counter, nor was it meant to be. Your stupid -blam!- decided to bring up the overarching issues with the gun.

What is the justification? "That it is an exotic"? That's the same bullshit argument as saying Last Word is meant to be fired in ADS instead of Hipfire with Hipfire grip.
