You weren't being rude, just this argument of comparing a single class to other is and im sorry to say its just not a good argument. First I do Generally use it when I play hunter, however honestly I don't play hunter all that often. There are so many people whom live to play hunter I Generally am on Titan cause most do not want to play titan. Obviously this is in my social circle not necessarily a representation of the playerbase. I'm not going to act like a hunter expert im not. But sure it may feel underwhelming right now, but this is why I'm saying you got what you wanted. Bungie walks a very fine line between balance and OP, they nerfed easy mode in the bannersheild, well, warlock stasis, and bubble. These things in which removed the need for tether are now not as good so tether will make a resurgence in high level content. Where I don't care for your argument is you simply state very specific things that do one thing better on an ability that does all these things. Reverent does do well at CC its an ice tornado it freezes things in place, but it also roams where as tether is strategic it goes where you want and stay there. Divinity is used for single target debut where tether can do multiple targets in I think a 8 meter circle (im not sure on exact distance) and it shares the damage across all targets. Orb regen- okay this one I understand but its because the first 2 years of D2 it was abused and basically made a super factory so they give you ability regeneration which make of that what you will but getting wombo combo back quickly is nice. Tether just does a lot so so because it does a lot where those other things well... they don't do as much which is why I feel the argument is fairly invalid. I play titan most often, and I can tell you this is an issue all classes face. When on titan your either tied to bubble or you are code of the missile with falling star. After this and now with banner nerf (Ursa nerf) it will be even worse because the other classes just don't bring enough to the table. Bottom tree sentile is 100% pvp based and its not even great there either so I get it. I just don't like the it needs to do everything well argument because x, y, z does it better because you need to have x, y, z to accomplish everything this one ability does. But again I don't know the data, and I don't work for bungie so who knows maybe an exotic is on the horizon for a buff for top tree tether like more tracking, or maybe a blinding effect when tethered. Its possible.
