I don't need to waste your time by explaining why. Just look literally anywhere. This website, Reddit, YouTube, Twitter. You know it's bad when even your streamers say it's bad. Remember the people who were for sunsetting? Yeah where are they now? Calling you out for doing it the wrong way. Just, remove sunsetting.
Make your community happy. Without us, you guys wouldn't be here now, and although that sounds arrogant, it is absolutely true.
Edit: Some of you have brought up the valid point that mountaintop should be sunset. Why can't Bungie sunset specific weapons then? If they can sunset hundreds of weapons, I'm sure they can sunset 1 or 2.
Also, here's mountaintop's in-air accuracy right now, for those of you who want to know:

Edit 2: Sunset sunsetting.
Edit 3: Look at Edit 2.
Edit 4: Did you see Edit 2, dmg?

Yep. Concur.

14 Respostasi always was Pro Sunsetting because using the same old shit got boring and i wanted the new shit bungie promised us over and over........ but there is no new shit, bungie lied to us. now i'm 100% hostile to the sunsetting idea and how bad bungie is at making destiny, hell curse of osiris had almost 10x the amount of new weapons than beyond light and it's cut content in the current season.

2 RespostasEditado por "Red" the Pirate: 11/20/2020 2:08:02 AMBungie: “we want to respect your time” Also Bungie: “Everything before season of dawn is completely irrelevant now, lmao. Go grind a bunch of trash weapons that are in no way going to replace all the awesome guns you had before, and are going to sunset in a year anyway, lol” Edit: I think they used the same logic for D3 too. “We don’t want to make the same mistake with a D3 that we did D2, and invalidate all your hard work up until then.” They say, as they repeat the exact same mistake and invalidate all our hard work Shadowkeep and before.

2 RespostasThis all seems odd that we're arguing amongst ourselves. Let us not forget that Bungie has been lying about this game and their intentions since day zero. LITERALLY. This was supposed to be a timeless looter shooter mmo. Everything would be viable forever and by year 6,7, etc we would have hundreds of weapon and armor options and there would be so much to choose from that fashion would be the true endgame. It's been lies since the D1 gameplay reveal.
-
3 RespostasI will say the only actual issue with sun setting is the lack of content in game right now. That will change and will IMO make for a better game. Sorry gotta say Bungie made the right call but just didn’t deliver on the replacement of content YET.
-
3 RespostasEditado por primelink: 11/18/2020 8:27:49 PMNo !! I think we're fine. When Bungie announced sunsetting and this impacted 70% of weapons and would get rid of at least the top 40% weapons it was obvious on day one the result. So if people did not understand or decided to follow clueless Youtubers to the wrong conclusions shame on them. From The day of the announcement it was clear what the result would be. So there are NO surprises. Youtubers had it wrong. I checked and only a very small group started or seem to understand the impact. Now they are all crying so nothing changed the information is still the same. Same percentage of weapons. Recluse, MountainTop and the rest are all gone. Move on use something else. There are some cool Blue weapons now. I base my builds around my playstyle or optimizing for combat ranges.
-
2 RespostasThere is a startling low amount of new weapons in BL. Sunsetting would only be justified by an outpour of new things to flush out the old. All I’ve seen that have gotten proper replacement are Mindbender -> Felwinter, and then Beloved -> Adored. Where are all the machine guns and hand cannons??
-
4 RespostasBecause those lot cannot steam roll with there insanely op weapons anymore and this hurts there egos really badly.
-
WTF came up with sunsetting? Fire that mofo!
-
1 ResponderI find he drifters inventory fascinating . Definitely resisted trust hand cannon; a bygones at 1050? What is the point and how would this be useful to anyone . Any brand new player would probably get passed 1060 within a week . This entire dlc just has phoned in written all over it . Do they not have a director or someone overseeing the over picture of the dlc and it’s parts ?
-
2 RespostasNo. Please do not roll back sunsetting.

7 RespostasEditado por XCptCronchX: 11/19/2020 2:41:45 AMI think it would be the right move but as someone brought up...people who deleted their god rolls would be out for blood. Why you would delete your god roll at all is beyond me though..I didn’t..they are sitting in my vault because you NEVER know what to expect from these guys...And for those of you who are saying people misunderstood sunsetting blah blah blah...a simple google search will show you that’s not the case. Countless gaming articles including Forbes magazine said it was a huge mistake. In fact it was also a key reason why the DLC received such low reviews. Not the main reason but it was a big contributor. YouTuber’s, streamers, the Reddit community, forums, a lot of people think BUNGIE way over stepped with the sunsetting. When a huge chunk of the community misunderstands...It means the information was not communicated well or the people were purposely mislead. Especially by telling us they would still be usable on patrols blah blah blah...yeah right..
-
11 RespostasYeah it’s pretty -blam!-ed up that for example my masterworked (one in each element) is capped at 1060 but I just got a one from this season so it’s not capped. So basically sunsetting is totally bullshit. Basically all they wanted to do was reset everything and make you play more and get the same stuff all over again. There’s no power creep there’s nothing it’s just a lie from Bungo
-
3 RespostasThe practice would have been accepted if the the new loot pool wasn’t so meager. Just look at machine guns. Good intentions horrible follow through.
-
This is not really structured in any sense, all you've really done is say its bad, people also say its bad. I can say the same, I think its a healthy thing for the game, and people also agree with that sentiment. This first season will be the slowest, with new guns slowly being reintroduced to the loot pool. They also had just added back in the Seven Seraph weapons. There was 3 years of loot that was being piled on, with half of them being untouched by players. There is no way they can add that same amount of content in just 6 months for Beyond Light. Also I would like to remind you that there is no reason to hostile towards dmg or Cosmo, they are not the evil masterminds behind sunsetting, just community managers.
-
2 RespostasPeople who sharded their 1060's are all for sunsetting now. 🤡
-
Editado por Gemini Trash: 11/20/2020 5:04:49 AMFor anyone saying they deleted their 1060 capped loot so Bungie can't go back on sunsetting, that was your own choice. Not even Bungie asked you to do that it's your fault However, the obvious fix would be making a kiosk as they did for Exotics, but instead for Legendary loot. This way when content is removed the items are still available to grind, thoroughly KILLING FOMO for in-game content. Make Seasonal loot require Seasonal activities completed, Trials for Trials loot, and Planet Mats for Open World loot. I agree with content vaulting for SEASONAL activities, but story, Raids and Planets should never have gone.
-
1 ResponderThe thing is, we'll eventually reach an equilibrium in a couple seasons where we're losing and gaining roughly the same amount of guns, sunsetting should've been done in waves in order to ease the transition, not all at once
-
5 RespostasThey don't need to go back on sunsetting and give us old shit back. They just need to give us more new guns.
-
2 RespostasI honestly can't understand why people complain about this game. It has been a clusterfukk since day one and has never reached an elite status(even though I really liked TTK and saw that as their high note). Destiny has always been a 1 step forward, 2 steps back game. So don't act all surprised when they screw up the game for money's sake or just for the LOLz
-
7 RespostasAs a D1 pre alpha vet I fervently believe sunsetting is the best thing that has ever happened to D2.
BTW I’m a wayfarer
-
1 ResponderWe're listening -Bungie
-
3 RespostasGuys chill, chill that people are hard working, so we can have fun. And they doing it under not perfect conditions caused by Covid-19! Sarcasm off, Bungie -blam!-ed it up Again! I am new light player, so I probably 1 year in D2, even I recognized what Bungie are doing, why didnt you? I am sorry, but that company isnt that one I remember from Halo days. Lets hope Infinite wont be such a disappointment like this "DLC".
-
12 RespostasThey should at least 1.) Uncap forsaken and moon world weapons. 2.) Give a proper vendor refresh for vanguard, crucible and gambit. 3.) Bring back factions
-
3 RespostasSunset pinnacle weapons if you have to Because we all know it was the Pinnacle weapons that started this issue to begin with. But don't take away 75% of the weapons and armor you made, just to give them back to us again later
-
9 RespostasIf they go back , I will quit. I deleted all my weapons , don't go back now. I was against it but its done now. Sunsetting is not even the main problem now.
