If this was the case then everything but this season’s content, if you’re at 1060 base, would be as hard as when Whisper and Outbreak were bugged.

  • If I'm 1060 doing a 750, I should be stronger than said 750. That's how leveling works. In any other game, if I'm lv 50 and I go killing lv 1 rabbits, I should be slaughtering them, and in turn, getting no rewards for doing so. However, if I'm lv 1 and I go killing those same lv 1 rabbits, I should be rewarded upto a certain point, say, lv 3. Once I get lv 3, I should then go kill lv 3 crabs, since the lv 1 rabbits don't offer good enough rewards anymore. That's leveling 101. As I get stronger, I should be moving on to stronger things.

  • That’s not how destiny is made. Those level 1 rabbits give you the same amount of loot as everything else. The only difference is how new it is. Hence why this cannot happen.

  • The reason for Whisper and Zero Hour being so easy was because the bug completely removed the cap, instead of keeping it at the 50 or so light level max that it should have been. Because of this fixed 50 point cap over "suggested", everything quickly becomes as easy as it ever will be. Bungie [b]could[/b] remove that fixed cap and just change the way light level over "suggested" works, so that you still get more bonus as you get higher, but just make it not game breaking. For example, if you used something like a "power of 2", then for a 750 activity, at 752, you'd get +1%. At 754, +2%. At 782, +5%. If it was adjusted so that when you were 50 points over the activity, the bonus matches the current one, then nothing much would change there. And, you'd have to be 4000 light over the suggested level to get double the bonus, so, there's little risk of it being game breaking. But, it would give players just a little more boost against content that shouldn't have red bar enemies that can two-shot from range. Or, red bars that can kill with one melee hit if you aren't at 100% health and shield.
