I've listened to the youtubers, and I understand their plight ... when there was skillbased matchmaking they couldn't simply get on to the Crucible and have a relaxing fun time wiping the floor with their competition. They had to work hard at being on top.
The thing is, now without skill based matchmaking, I have to work hard to be on the bottom. As an example, I just finished my 7th or 8th crucible match today and they were ALL sweaty. I have so much adrenaline pumping through me, I'm afraid to help with dinner-- I might break something. And I didn't play worse than other times... I played nearly at the top of my game every match ... averaged my usual 1.38 efficiency and 10 to 14 kills a game ... and I was still on the bottom. Dead last among six fire-team members. O.o The top players on either team were getting 25 and 30 kills a game.
Back with skilled match-making I'd have sweaty games too... but out of 8 matches, maybe 2 or 3 were hard won, and that to stay near the top. Now, forget about it. So I'm just wondering if Bungie is going to be able to keep things this way. You see, it comes down to numbers .... there are a s-ton more players like me in Destiny than their are top-tier players.
And I'm sure someone will say, "well, get gud noob!" ... but my answer to that is, well, accept the prices of being top-tier! It would be like Mohammed Ali complaining back in the day that he never had any easy fights now that he was champ. -- course, he actually would say they wear all easy ...
But then, he lived for the challenge.

It's a fun time Just remember though the only way to get better is to practice, no better way than to go up against higher skilled opponents
