Straight up, I don't think Bungie is going to invest much in raids going forward. Unless they can figure out how to get more than 5% of the community involved, it's a wasted endeavor in the long run.

Raids are what make destiny in interesting though. From d1 raids being fun and having mechanics to d2 being more relying on mechanic than making the raids unique. I’m not saying every raid is like this in d2, relying on mechanic as there is definitely d1 raids that can be more mechanic heavy in some encounters . But then that adds an other problem with not really having any unique rewards. So it makes raids feel more like a chore than actually having fun and getting unique rewards that are better from the rest of the loot. What I’m trying to say is that they aren’t making raids enjoyable enough to where players would want to learn how to do the raids. To the making more mechanic heavy encounters . I’m not suggesting make raids super easy but there doesn’t seem to be any continuity to making the raids fun and with more enjoyable encounters , to making a raid that’s isn’t really got to do with anything with the story half the time or making the gear stand out from the crowd.
