I mean. I honestly didn't give a single shit about the "story" in D1 cause there wasn't any.
In this though?
It's all just pointless ramblings that mean and lead up to nothing.
Then there's the ton of non-voiced shit that's just text, not that I have a problem with reading, but it's just so -blam!-ing lazy and a slog to read though about shit that literally means nothing.

There was a very good story in D1 that was filled in with the Grimoire system. I was really interested in the "mysterious stranger", but that was shelved for some reason.

No. It did not have story. Doing shit in post cause your game had such a shit development and having to have the story that was meant to be in the game online? Yeah. No. You missed the deadline, your game has no story. No amount of cards to read will ever change that. I mean, ffs, you've got people telling others to read the -blam!-ing new Star Wars book to make the Rise of Skywalker better. Yeaaaaaah, no. How about don't make a cluster-blam!-.
