Mindbenders ambition
I think this shotgun needs a nerf. It has far to much range and all hunters literally have this in their load outs. It’s dumb. It’s not in line with other shotguns. And I think since everything is being nerfed, why not mindbenders. I would love to see all of these people in crucible actually play the game. Instead of just cheesing and 1 shotting everyone in pvp. My hand cannon doesn’t beat them. My sniper doesn’t beat them. My smg or sidearm. It’s sad. It ruins the game. Try going against 3 hunters using mindbenders. Dodging and rolling. It’s ridiculous
So a few days later, more and more Hunters are in pvp. Im getting killed by mindbenders every time.
Hunters-slide-mindbenders-melee if they can-grenade-or dodge away.
Literally the only thing these people do. They don’t touch nothing else. Why not tweak the other characters for pvp.
Really tired of getting murdered by a whole team of hunters dodging, going invisible, shotgunning.
100% staying away from pvp. I barely want to do iron banner. Or play the game in the current state

An Aggressive Frame shotgun with the means to acquire extended range? Yeah thats busted. It needs to be toned down. Oddly enough its the most consistent shotgun at the moment. I have a Parcel of Stardust with great perks but there will be times where the RNG says my shotgun spread is missing a few pellets.

2 RespostasThe only reason it’s used as much as it is, is because of quickdraw and it being the the only farmable heavy shotgun with it. Overused does not equal overpowered

2 RespostasI'm a hunter and I dont use mindbender. If anything I see mostly titans using it. Hunters use nothing but erentil fr4 when I'm facing them... Some titans use lord of wolves.

You won’t be able to change the OP things players get or choose to use in any meta. The cycle will continue.

1 ResponderNo an appropriate nerf would be removing the ability for precision shotguns to roll any range perks. Meaning if you want range run a slug shotty

7 RespostasI play a hunter. I don't have a single Mindbender's Ambition. Anyway, if you feel at a disadvantage, you can farm Imperial Decree in the Menagerie if you want. It is the kinetic version of Mindbender's Ambition and personally I think it has even better perks. Sidearms are really good now against shotgun apes.

I hate shotguns just as much as the next real Guardian, but why on earth give the shotgun huggers more reason to cry for fusion rifle nerfs? You just aren't thinking clearly, buddy...

8 RespostasMindbenders isn't broken, it's just currently the best shotgun. Before it was Dust Rock Blues, but then NF got nerfed, so now the best primaries are in the primary slot. If there’s any OHK weapon in the game that needs to be nerfed it’s Erentil.

No, I have a mindbenders with a range masterwork and opening shot and it's no different. You just don't like shotguns and nobody talks about dust rock anymore so playing the blame game.

36 RespostasPeople always calling out hunters when titans and warlocks can skate up to you faster than hunters can run or jump towards you.. and shotgun you. Every class can rush with a shotgun...only warlocks and titans can do it better because they are faster.

1 ResponderHonestly the core issue is the hunter agility paired with a cqb weapon like that. Stompees is far too valuable and the dodge should not completely break aim assist. Reduce it, sure, but anytime a hunter dodges you literally cannot damage them.

It doesn't need a nerf. Adjust your play accordingly to account for your enemy's weapons and playstyles.

With that said I’m so tired of reading players crying about shotguns and fusions. It’s ridiculous and every time I chime in about anything someone points out how the fusion or shotgun I have up is crutch. Everything seems to be a crutch at this point. Maybe everyone should use year one auto rifles and hand cannons. Mindbenders is broken and a crutch, LoW is broken and a crutch, all HI fusions are a crutch and any and most pinnacle weapons are considered a crutch. What you guys are asking for is pretty much everything to be nerfed so you don’t die. This is why we have a ghost.

You just need more practice if you're losing to shotty with sidearm. Sidearms are so good right now.

All precision and aggressive frames can reach that with good rolls. Quickdraw is good but there are other shotguns that can roll it from these frames and also other tools in game besides quickdraw that negate slow holster/draw times. Mindbender's so prevalent because it's been farmable for so long. There's nothing truly unique about it that'd make it factually broken.

That would belong to the Last Man Standing(for Aggressive Frames, like MB's) or Prophet of Doom(for Precision Frames), as both can roll Opening Shot. MB can as well, but only the curated roll, which has Steady Rounds instead of Accurized, cutting your Range down harshly. As pointed out by a few others, MB's main strength comes from the fact that it's the highest range Aggressive Frame that can roll Quickdraw(and Slideshot at the same time if you want the full on god roll). Extra details: [spoiler]The other aforementioned options don't have any Handling perks at all besides Threat Detector(LMS) or Slideways(not Slideshot; PoD), and on top of that, are much harder to farm for(which is a bit funny, because MB is already bad enough of a grind). Another key strength is that MB(along with the other two) are in the Energy slot, so you can pair that with many of the stronger primaries that lie in the Kinetic Slot(Spare Rations, Austringer, Exotic HCs, Bygones, "Dad" Furnace, etc.). For the most part, Special weapons in the Kinetic slot really aren't as strong as their Energy alternatives.[/spoiler] [spoiler]For those curious, you can literally get a better version of the curated Mindbender's Ambition if you farm for the same roll on Last Man Standing, but with anything other than Steady Rounds; preferably Accurized Rounds.[/spoiler]

It was already Nerfed. Shotguns are hard capped for range. It’s 9 meters. Your sniper isn’t beating them because you’re hard scoping and by the time you see them they’ve already closed the gap to get within Shotty range. That’s a you problem. No other class of weapon has been Nerfed as much as shotguns have. They don’t need another nerf. You need to change your playstyle. Try putting a radar tuner mod on your Sniper. It’s all I run when I snipe. Helps out against shotty apes.
