title says it all. I wanna see the battle before me while I punch this ogre to high heaven.
-
I'd also like if it preserved my camera angle from during the finisher rather than jarringly forcing me to look back towards where I was when I started the finisher.
-
4 RespostasWhy do them? They are useless other than to conserve ammo. It's basically a final shot that as far as I can tell exists solely to sell us animations from eververse.
-
No I agree it sucks love finishers but not the cloud
-
1 ResponderDon't look at it then.
-
3 RespostasFinishers were a shite idea. I'd be happy if they eventually morphed into a replacement for all of your melee animations (on a cycle - punch kick headbutt), but theyd have to fix how slow they are too. 2 second melee kills? Wtf? And I have to sacrifice super energy to make them worth something? wt-double-f?!?
-
1 ResponderAgree like the animation but not so dramatic. Everything slows down, goes dark and the enemy stands there dazed and just takes it. I like how it looks if you see another guardian do their finisher. That’s what I’d like to see on my character. Just a kick, punch, etc without all the dramatics.
-
Really do wonder if the only reason they are in the game now is to get us to purchase silver.
-
Finishers are like a lot of things in Destiny, you only do them for bounties.
-
-
It’s probably needed for fluidity of graphics. The blurry dark aspect is a virtual limit to the amount of calculus our systems have to go through.
-
Its being misadventure'd after my finisher every now and then thats pissing me off, esp when I'm trying to get the flawless team run in vex offensive for seal while racking up finishers.
-
Yeah it is pretty jarring.
-
Yeah kinda agree
-
Agreeedddd
-
1 ResponderI’d like that to. I’d probably make finisher look less cinematic though. I’d also like to see some area damage or area knock back thrown in.
-
Agreed! It sucks b@(($ !
-
This. I don't get the purpose of the cloud. I just want to see my lock roundhouse kick some mfs.
-
3 RespostasIt’s absolutely blinding to use a finisher in the Reckoning, it goes from white to black to white again. It’s similar to the title screen for that matter.
-
Agreed. It’s like a wizard just zapped you with the terrible fog. I really hope they have a look at this and change it.
-
Should be a way to toggle it
-
3 RespostasYes, it would also be cool if the body could hit enemies behind it for damage and knock back,
-
It’s very disorienting. For that reason alone I don’t use them unless it’s a high health bar that we can save a lot of time on
-
2 RespostasI just wish Bungie would realize that not everything in the game needs to pulse and flash bright light.
-
Yeah the smoke should go
-
3 RespostasThis is a good idea. I also think that finishers should grant invulnerability to the guardian performing it, for the duration of the finisher, no matter what. The only other problem I have with them personally is that finisher mods use super energy. Should there be some cost? Maybe... but I kinda feel like it’s pretty much always better to just use my super. I would even say that finishers should grant super energy, and mods to make them grant less of it rather than cost it. They’re slow and not particularly useful except for saving a shot of heavy ammo and looking... really awesome... so practical incentive to use them would be nice. They look awesome and I’m glad they’re here, reminds me of halo assassinations, it’s really cool imo to do! But unlike halo assassinations, they’re not practical. Admittedly, I’m not particularly far into shadowkeep so I don’t know all the mods yet or how well they function... but a chunk of super energy and animation lock just to reload my weapon, or a massive chunk just for an overshield... when I could just blow everything to smithereens with my super? Just doesn’t seem right.

Same, I use devour a lot on pve so finishing enemies off is actually worth is as I get all my health back. I hate the smoke though, I wish I could disable it, it becomes hard to pin point my next target with the smoke in the way
