Iron Banner is a free non-dlc pvp event that all players of D2 can participate in. Enabling power advantage tells non 650's that you don't care that they have lives and responsibilities outside of your game.
Stuff like this is why Destiny is a laughing stock outside of its dedicated playerbase, and why your forums are flooded with people complaining about things that just make no sense.
And yes, I'm 650

1 Responder> D2 Y1 no power level iron banner, "wtf bugo this succ" > community asks for power level IB "bungo do this or game ib bed" > D2 Y2 gets power level IB "wtf bungo me no likey game bed" These posts always give me a good laugh.
Enabling power advantage tells non 650's that you don't care that they have lives and responsibilities outside of your game.
Idk bruh. People with lives and responsibilities shouldn’t be working all worked up about a few power levels. Especially over a FREE event.

Iron Banner has been like this since D1 and the majority of the community has asked Iron Banner to be Light level based again in D2. There's always regular Crucible.

Editado por blade329: 12/30/2018 6:59:53 AMNah. They took that out before and a lot of players bitched about it. In a game where progression is largely meaningless, it's good to have one mode where it matters. Well, at least sorta matters.
-
The crucible should just be removed period, from the game, in its entirely. And I'm 650 on titan, warlock, and hunter (ok, he might be only 649).

Power disadvantage does even really work that well. I’m 650 and can’t tell the difference from normal crucible. My wish since D1 has always been for a UNIQUE mode that is iron banner. Instead of just... Quickplay control with a “power advantage.” 😴 I only do it for the armor and then I’m out. As opposed to if it was a unique event that came around once a month with an epic game mode.
-
You were begging for this to be a thing last year, why all of a sudden do you want it gone now? You asked for it, you have it now.
-
I'm NOT 650, and I say it's fine. People agree beforehand when they go in that their light level will be a consideration. And, it offers a different Crucible experience than the normal balanced one, makes Iron Banner a unique and special event.

Iron banner has had power advantage since d1?? It’s how it should be Quick play is still available

Destiny is a game about building up a more powerful character with increasingly better gear over time. Even with equal light level some people have better gear than others. and therefore an advantage over their equally thumbskilled peers. It's not a game where players in every mode are expected to be equally equipped or equally powerful. There should be no crucible mode where power doesn't matter, except for a training wheels mode where everyone gets exactly the same gear in each match to satisfy those who want equality, balance and lack of grind. There should be a new Crucible vendor for this mode, and it should be called Participation Prize Crucible or something like that.

2 RespostasWe asked for it. Power levels were present in d1. I like power lvl advantages in IB. Getting to max light is quite achievable even for casuals. Our opinions may differ which is why they will never please everybody

15 RespostasEditado por xilxad: 12/29/2018 11:04:02 PMPower advantage was only enabled as an attempt to “encourage” dlc purchase. Does this make you feel like this 🤬?

9 RespostasI'm 650 also. It's sad that I can't play IB with my under 640 friends who hesitate to even participate.

7 RespostasThat is literally the one thing that makes Iron Banner not just regular old crucible..........

2 RespostasIt wouldn’t be iron banner then would it, it would just be control. You have access to endgame level rewards and exclusive gear, why can’t you see it as an endgame activity that’s available to everyone no matter what dlc you own. I disagree, I believe when D2 launched it was like you wanted to be and people hated it so they changed it back, low level players now have the opportunity to level quicker to six hundred, if you can’t become competitive in a month for the next IB then you’re probably not playing the game at all.

I am confused on why this is a quick play list when every one you play runs full meta....

3 RespostasIm 640+ so im good , but god damn is it annoying that freaking power level is a thing in iron banner. My opponents are always max light , luna's howl wielding fire teams of 6 and here i am the only person above 640 , no one has luna's in my team and no one is in a fire team besides my friend. Nice match making

I agree, but for a different reason. With D2's PvP as screwed as it is right now in terms of matchmaking algorithms being up the duff and all, Power Level is one more variable that we just shouldn't have to contend with. I do agree that there should be power level advantages, but right now it's just adding to the matchmaking nightmare we have to put up with...

If they cared or were at least thinking they would make use of it in a way that still left success to player ability. So for example cooldowns for higher light players are faster. Hell and maybe just super power level is affected by the number. Regardless people don't care about the poor treatment of others so long as they get theirs. People suck.
