The magic is gone. Plain and simple. All its components are...fine, it's just missing that spark that d1 had.
I actually like the forsaken grind, I like the new weapon systems(aside from nerfed scouts), I like the forsaken world.
I do like the game now, still my favourite game to play, but I don't love it anymore, not like d1. I play it when I feel like it, I don't feel the need to power through content anymore, I'll pick up black armoury at some point I guess.
Somebody commented earlier that it's a classic rock band with no original members. This is it exactly. All great musicians, but the original feel is gone.
I don't think.....that I am addicted anymore. Ohhh god...I've become a dirty casual.

Same. It just sucks.
I don't think.....that I am addicted anymore
I feel you bro. Seriously, thank God for D2.

The spark D1 had that you talk about was that it was new, a different style of game from what you had probably been playing. D2 had to evolve and become something new again to give you the spark back, but it failed and in a big way. They should have added to the previous destinations and actually 'developed' the game rather than a shallow reboot. D2 cannot compete with the freshness D1 dropped on us, even with it's faults

I don't know what it is. Just go back and watch the last part of the rise of iron kvostov quest. Sitting on the ketch with your ghost looking out over the cosmodrome, the look and the feel, with that music and dialogue, gives me chills. That is in a nutshell what is missing from d2. When is the last time you felt that in this game?
-
The last time (and only time this year) I felt chills in Destiny 2 was when the player character said "You won't have to. Uldren Sov is mine." That one line of dialogue coming from my guardian was enough to make me smile and go "Oh, now this...this is nice" despite everything Bungie has done to ensure that I couldn't actually enjoy this game.

Never in this game, it's a pale substitute for the class D1 had but that's because it was new. D2 now has something to compare it to and D1 didn't. But it's lifeless, I don't even have the music on in D2 it's garbage compered to the first

Black Armoury has no soul.

Sounds to me like you're just burned out. After all, if Destiny was still such a great game you'd go and play that wouldn't you? Rose tinted glasses maybe? Just a bit?
-
Maybe. I can still sit down and play if for 5 hours straight and have a blast. Just not the same pull to do it night after night.
