Javelin 4, endless vale, dead cliffs, radiant cliffs, worm haven, and the shores remake are my favorite maps in this game.
Most have some degree of verticality especially around B.
You have at least 2 way out of just about every sight line.
You could use just about any weapon and do well on them.
They’re all wildly different from each other in terms of how engagements are played as well as the layout.

I think Exodus Vale is hot trash and nothing can change my mind. However I like how B is now an intense place to hold compared to D1 where B was always pretty Linear and easy to hold by yourself.

In D1 it depended on the map whether or not it was easy to defend B and whether or not it’d be a central point of fighting because heavy would never spawn there and it was only necessary for map control on specific maps like cauldron. In D2 heavy is regularly very close to B and most B points are very central to the maps as a whole so you’ll end up around it one way or another.

True, but they are all also extremely similar in size and promote shotgun play just like every other map

Forgot exodus blue

They promote close quarters play. The extreme dominance of shotguns is a by product of the alternatives being ineffective. In D1 my favorite maps were anomaly, asylum, cauldron, rusted lands, and burning shrine. I was by far a sniper main, but enjoyed having constant gunfights or taking out shotty rushing players.
