When the true darkness is destroyed, what will become of traveler and the guardians?
What will be the gaurdians' purpose there after?
Will the traveler die in our(Guardians) final battle for the solar system?
Will the traveler leave us like the elskini or stay?
If the true darkness comes at the beginning of D3, how will the story carry out in future dlcs?
The biggest challenge for Bungie developing Destiny 3 is not just regaining trust and making the franchise relevant to many agian. It's finding a way to conclude it all with a bang to remember.
-
Oh, it’ll end with a bang alright. On a Ketch somewhere: Variks: “Hmm, Variks feels like he forgot something back in the Prison of Elders, yesssss? Meanwhile, in a grody Hive Arena: Splinter Mine A:*Bwoom* Splinter Mine B:*Bwoom* Splinter Mines C-Z: *BWOOM*

The Destiny universe will result in.... DESTINY 4.
-
I'm betting my money on an Ulan-Tan scenario. Our guardian will be instrumental in ending the conflict between light and dark, most likely by getting rid of both.
-
At the end of the main campaign for d3 the game destroys itself. Big in game explosion cutscene, and then you’re not able to play ever again. Can’t even start a new character. Fin.
-
you'll find out you were just another iteration of the infinite forest and begin all over again
-
1 ResponderIt’ll flash to a cut scene of Luke Smith waking from a fever dream, covered in Cheeto dust, surrounded by empty Rainer beer cans and spooning with a tranny hooker.

With the servers going offline.

Can't destroy the yang to the Ying.

2 RespostasWatch it be something like this: When the Darkness invades, it will be so overwhelming that even the Vex think it is immediately unbeatable. They process every possible timeline where they survive but cant find any. So they turn to the Guardians and add them in as a variable to the equation. By the exact time thats finished, your Guardian is getting overwhelmed and their light consumed. As you (the Guardian) are about to actually lose a fight, the Vex transmat you into the Vault of Glass with a message saying to follow the calculated path to overcome the darkness. As you go deeper into the Vault of Glass, you meet the VoG boss (i forgot his name, Its been 2 years since Ive ran VoG) but this time, he brings you into the streamline of time and forces you into different timelines where you have to beat everything you've ever faced in the Destiny franchise but augmented to be 10 times more difficult. Along the way, the darkness breaks its way into your journey once more, so now the Darkness is a physical enemy you can face now, adding everything else thats augmented on top of that. This way, it'll be a recap/journey through what Destiny had to offer for the past decade and provide a finish to the story.

There are only shadows when light is cast Destiny has to conclude with both the Light and the dark ceasing to exist ,One can’t live without the other I dont know how that will be possible from a Multiplayer online standpoint where the entire premises is about the light but I think those “Powers far greater than our feeble light” Calus briefly mentioned may take its place if we are to Truely defeat the dark
-
I think we might not win. I also believe our character won't survive.

3 RespostasI’m just here for the jokes. I’m really hoping for another Halo thing to happen. You know... Where Activision takes Destiny away from Bungie and gives it to some other dev.

Editado por TravDawg: 11/6/2018 4:17:43 AMWhen the guardians and the ultimate powers of the Dark finally clash the true foe of all will finally reveal itself, causing inexplicable death for all, the architects.

2 RespostasWhen bungie is eventually forced to make a battle royal to save them from going bankrupt
-
it will conclude with the last player deleting the game

I’m sure you’ve heard the whispers, they never stop. They said that plating the ahamkara bones in silver would stop the whispers. But they still talk in the dark corners of our mind, ghost says it’s nothing but I feel them like claws. It wants the light, to feast on it. It gets so cold, the light helps to calm the pain and whispers, but they want more. So close, so very close, their dark plan is unfolding I we all of us are helping. Slowly the light fades soon none shall remain except the void, no light no dark only void. Your ghost suspects something, it plots against us OH BEARER MINE!

1 ResponderIt would be the ballsiest move to actually schedule the end of the game, have major engagements on different days over the course of a month, where guardians would be perma-killed during each engagement until the last battle where we are all resurrected by some plot device and fight a heroic last fight against the ultimate enemy (whatever that will be). Whoever lives through the whole month could be given unique weapons or perks to use. I would love an epic last battle with dozens (or more) guardians on the field all helping one another and fighting multiple boss sized enemies at a time with aircraft and vehicles, culminating in the destruction of the darkness in our reality and all of our guardians having the choice to rest or move to another dimension to continue the fight. Or at the end of the final battle we all wake up in the cosmodrome again, realizing we are living an endless loop of good against evil, light against dark as the screen goes to white. ... But the cynic in me imagines Destiny will end like any other “endless” franchise, where Bungie and Activision don’t allow it to have a timely, scripted ending but commit to it going on “forever”, only to watch an ambivalent player base wandering off, whereupon Bungie runs out of money and turns off the servers, possibly offering a half-hearted attempt at an “ending” before they do. I want to expect something epic and satisfying, but I’ve been disappointed too many times.

6 RespostasWe plug the Traveller into the Crucible and have to choose one of three options: Destroy: a pulse is sent out that wipes out all our current enemies, however this will also cause damage to large amounts of our own technology. Control: a pulse is sent out that takes control of the darkness for us to use to our own ends. Synthesis: Only by uniting the forces of the galaxy does this become available. By leaping into the energy stream and sacrificing ourselves a pulse is emitted that permanently binds light and dark together in a perfect balance. The ships of the darkness later show up arriving at Earth to aid in the rebuilding. Finally our Guardian is shown awakening where this all started; outside the Cosmodrome. Then Bungie announce a spin-off set in the Andromeda galaxy plagued with numerous bugs and is revealed to have been made entirely by their interns.

1 ResponderI think that with Luke smith back at the helm, weshall se a dumbing down, ands boring “we beat them yayyyy! Everything is back to where it was pre story!”
-
It'll be another raid that's disconnected from. The story. The final boss will have a 1 liner that's pseudo meaningful. Then fade to black. Then we go right back to grinding strikes for exotics indefinitely. The forums will lose their shit and praise a mediocre story for it being the most amazing thing they've ever experienced. The same shit that's been happening for years now
-
2 RespostasWe'll discover Tess Eververse murdered Eva Levante to have a monopoly on shaders, and she will actually be the architect, which be the final epic raid

Everyone will get error code "Snake in the grass" followed by pulling the plug.
