This morning I tried the ascendant challenge on my own and almost had it but found that when you die you get kicked back out to the lost sector and have to reenter the ascendant realm only to discover that you have to destroy the blights and the crystals all over again. OK, fine, that's kind of annoying but I get that part. So then I posted on the app and got two more people thinking as long as one of us is still in the realm than the others who get kicked to the lost sector can then reenter and the teammates that are still in the realm will have kept the momentum going on the blights and/or the crystals. That turns out to be case on the first time dying. Great, let's do this. Well hold on now partner says Bungie. Now I begin to discover how broken this part is and how piss poorly Bungie tested this part. On a couple of occasions upon getting kicked back to the lost sector I could no longer see the portal and had to run back out of the lost sector and then back in to get it to be visible again. So sometimes I could still see it and sometimes not. The even more annoying part is that we finished it and only one of us got credit even though the message of completion appeared on all our screens. Reason: because the other two of us died at the last second when shooting the final crystal, so because we were outside of the realm the actual quest didn't show as finished even though we saw the message on our screens. So now I asked the guys to stick around so the remaining two of us could complete it because our ascendance timer was running out. Back in we go, destroyed the blights, working on the crystals, again I shot the last crystal as I was hammered by one of the knights and so GUESS WHAT????? Back out again, completion message shows, NO QUEST COMPLETION!!! Final attempt because I am really running out of time. Get all the way down again to last crystal. This time, to trump all the previously encountered buggy-ness, my timer runs out as I'm getting ready to shoot the last crystal, because you know they're not going to do something as sensible as ACTUALLY DISPLAY THE TIMER ON YOUR GOD DAMN SCREEN so you know if it's getting ready to run out like they did on other quests that are timed, so due to the timer running out the last crystal becomes immune as I'm shooting it. BUNGIE, HOW CAN I BE IN THE ASCENDANT REALM AND NOT BE ABLE TO SHOOT THE CRYSTALS?!?!?!?!?!? In summary this quest has all kinds of crap that needs to be fixed. Bungie, please do some actual testing of your game before releasing it. You continue to over and over again release content where it clearly seems that your testers did only the most basic, minimal amount of game play to verify things.
