Dedicated servers don't mean no lag/latency and much of what exists in Destiny mm DOES use dedicated servers. When you have players from all over the country and world playing together there is going to be lag.
With dedicated servers there is more latency for those further from said servers. Want to do a fun experiment? Pick any game you can think with dedicated servers and Google "lag in (x) game". Once you do that, stop posting that it doesn't exist in them.

Editado por ollDizzyllo: 9/1/2018 11:33:10 PMBungie does not use any type of dedicated servers nor will they ever. In D1 they promised dedicated servers but then said they would never have them due to cost and some other crap i dont remember. #askavet

It's funny when people post things that they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about but believe so desperately they're right. You might want to fact check your statement 😉

Dedicateds help to prevent some of the bs that goes on with p2p and players having all the power. Will it prevent everything? No. However, some of the cheating going on can be curbed with this change, as players have less influence with the games themselves.

I don’t have to google it. I play those games. They do not have NEARLY the lag that D2 does. They also use dedicated servers. Stop being a Bungie apologist. They cheaped out and went with p2p (and 30 FPS, on top of that) and now we’re seeing the consequences of that choice.

You don't want to Google it because truth hurts and it's easier to talk shit and pretend it's reality.

Editado por Blimgauss: 9/1/2018 7:02:54 PMOh you’re right that I don’t want to google it, because it’s a waste of my -blam!-ing time. The FACT is that games that use 100 PERCENT dedicated servers result in players experiencing less lag and latency. How about YOU try an experiment? Call Blizzard and tell them they should replace Overwatch’s dedicated servers with a fantastic hybrid p2p setup similar to what D2 uses, and see what they say. I could be wrong, but I’d be willing to bet that they’d politely decline your generous offer. There’s a reason every other AAA shooter uses dedicated servers. Edit: And as Lord Kielron pointed out, dedicated servers also make DDoSing much more difficult. But keep making excuses for Bungie; I’m sure they appreciate the free help.

Or you could type "lag in overwatch" in a browser 👍
-
I have 300 hours on overwatch, I know about the lag (or lack thereof). I’m good.
-
I've been gaming online since the original Xbox live. Console and PC, dedicated and p2p. So yeah, I'm good too 👍
-
Great! 👍
-
You do not have to google it. I can tell you that he’s 99% wrong
-
99% wow beautiful calculations there, doctor.
-
You don't want to google it because it's a "waste of your time" yet here you are commenting 4 paragraphs. Gtfo.
-
Writing well is never a waste of time! 👍
-
Typing in paragraphs doesn't mean you're writing well, it's just ironic considering your time is so valuable.
-
Still a better use of my time than googling bullshit.
-
Nah, because you would have learned something.
-
Maybe so. Probably not.

Editado por RubiiX: 9/2/2018 11:50:37 PMlmao D2 doesn't have any type of dedicated servers. You are a fool if you believe it does. Bungie lie to us constantly.
