Wah Wah, cheaters get banned for being cheaters. Cheesing is exactly the same as DDOS. Deserves the same punishment. This post is hilariously pathetic. You cheated and now you’re afraid that you’re going to get banned and you want the sympathy of the community? Ha! Hahaha! Oh! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!
Well done Bungie! You’ve finally put some fear into cheaters. It’s about time. Now just be sure to follow through with those permanent bans so they can’t get back on the account they used to acquire the weapon they cheated to get. Make them come back on a new account and earn it for real if they want it.

They are saying in here. If you keep being placed with a player and that player happens to be owning you everytime you must play through it. Is the player base dwindling that much? Please ask these questions to yourself. A heartfelt response would be great.

Players have been cheating through network manipulation in competitive to ensure that they match their friends repeatedly. One of the squads leaves repeatedly until the other all have Redrix, then the other does the same for them. That is the goal here and playing stupid or being stupid (not sure which is the case for you) is not going to dissuade Bungie. Leaving a match if you continually match the same team is not putting you on a list. The people they’re looking to punish are doing this dozens and dozens of times to get their goal accomplished. Once or twice in a given time span will not get you banned. Leaving as much as those people were deserved permanent bans because they were cheating and there’s zero chance you had to leave matches as many times as they did and were still innocent. Zero chance. So yes, everyone getting banned 100% deserves it.

If i am not informed correctly at least be more kind in your wordings.....i didnt kno ppl would do that stuff...then again this all could be fixed if bungie worked on their MM. Good to take note. Though. Maybe for once too you should start taking in both sides of the story. Lol have lovely day.

There’s only one side of the story. Cheaters will get banned. As a side note, people who repeatedly leave competitive matches because they can’t handle losing should receive much harsher punishments as well although not permanent bans, those need to be reserved for cheating. Don’t play competitive if you can’t handle ups and downs. Get thicker skin and learn from losses instead of leaving all the time. It will help you improve.

But honestly, you won’t get banned. Only people who were actually cheating are going to get banned. So ask yourself this question and you should know whether to expect a ban or not: Was I cheating? If you answered yes then you’ll get banned. If you answered “I don’t think it was cheating” then you’ll get banned and deserve it just as much as people who were at least honest about it. If you said no, you won’t get banned. I don’t need to know your answer, you know in your mind and heart whether you cheated or not. So if you didn’t then you have nothing to worry about.

Afraid of being banned for leaving competitive matches early? Lol... don’t be a scrub and leave then. Take your lumps or take your ban. I won’t have sympathy if you actually left enough matches that Bungie’s detection system labels you for a ban. If you’ve done that you’re part of the problem and are probably better off not playing competitive.

Good for you? That sounds...pointless if you’re done with it already. But hey, being nice to fellow guardians is great, but being informed about why things are happening before you come in and defend cheaters or try to push Bungie not to ban cheaters... in the future just research before putting your foot in your mouth. It IS hilarious that they’re getting banned. Bungie should’ve been using that ban hammer much more long ago but just now figured out how to track these people down? Seriously it’s been going on since D1. So now that the cheaters are getting banned, I’m here to laugh at them. And laugh. And laugh. And laugh.

To make posts you should at least do research unless your post is a genuine question coming from ignorance. If you've read the TWAB, played destiny at all and bothered to read any of the many posts out here you'd be educated enough on the subject matter to know your question/assumption was a dumb one. No offense but they put "voluntary" in quotations for a reason. Learn to withdraw information from context.

Everyone agrees dedicated servers could be awesome. They have their own set of issues but not this specific set. Also bungie will likely not do that as they've spent investor money on creating their own systems. Who knows maybe one day they'll take it seriously. But until then we can only work with what they give us. So if that's retroactive bans and punishments then so be it. Shave the toxic parts of this community down so the rest can thrive. Compare it to after a volcano erupts, it may cause devastation but once it ends the cycle returns and supports a healthy ecosystem once again.

I dont believe we are failing to see anything. Point is certain things there are only 1 way to deal with them to nip them in the butt. Cheating is one of those, especially in a ranked/comp. Playlist. At least in our eyes....the rest is up to bungie and its investors.
