2 primary 1 power weapon set up needs to go....

PVP Why the hell did the devs think it was a good idea to make us use 2 30% weaker primary weapons almost 100% of the time? Why would the devs just throw away 3 years of data and feedback and make this huge change? Why did the devs think it was a good idea for 1 person at a time to get power ammo, and have power weapons go up against 30% weaker primary weapons? The skill gap has been lowered big time. Get a kill...recover...get a kill...recover...or teamshot all match. Weapons n abilities are so much weaker. Abilities don’t recharge fast and don’t do as much damage. It’s pretty much weak primary gunfights the whole match, which gets old fast and isn’t too exciting. You gotta stick w team almost 100% of the time. If you flank, you can get a kill but after that u gotta dip cause recovery n ttk is so high. A lot of the huge plays don’t happen much anymore and when they do happen it’s usually team shots so it’s kind of watered down and not as rewarding. So many gunfights end with one player running and or taking cover. We have enough time to react n know when we are going to lose a gunfight. Good team vs good team...omg...so many gunfights just end in draw, and it’s who teamshots the most and finds the right angle wins. So it all comes down to your skill n skill of the players you play with. If you play solo...you are screwed most of the time. Power ammo kills are not exciting at all...it’s so easy to get power ammo kills when you are the only one with power ammo. It also makes games even more one sided depending on who gets power ammo. So many players leaving (no punishment for leaving) and so many mercy rules. Why is it a good thing to only get 1 super a game and everyone pretty much gets it at the end of the game? (Sometimes you get 2 supers if you wreck but usually when you wreck it ends in mercy and is a boring match) Why did the devs nerf movement/maneuverability? Movement n Maneuverability was amazing in D1. We raged at every nerf after nerf after nerf after nerf and the devs decided to nerf almost everything in Destiny 2. Why nerf in air accuracy? Why make us so weak? *****Why do autos have more range than pulse rifles? When was that ever a thing in Destiny 1?***** *****Why do low rate of fire high Impact pulses, scouts, and Handcannons have pretty much the same optimal TTK but body shot TTK is so much longer? ***** They should have slightly better optimal TTK and be rewarded for headshots but be punished for body shots. As of now, they aren’t rewarded for headshots but severely punished for body shots. Why get rid of randomized perks on weapons? After a month of playing we keep turning in tokens to get rewards and we delete every single reward we get cause we got it a million times already.... Nothing is unique anymore....   • Don’t worry. Luke Smith is on top of Mount Everest right now meditating on all of the D2 feedback. Anyway, he’s making grand plans for D3. The rumor is that the weapon system is changing again. This time 3 primaries, no grenades, and no melees. No supers either. And no sprinting. And no jumping. No walking forward....just backwards while looking forwards. It’s going to be insane. 2v2 across all crucible modes. Which will consist of various forms of Supremacy. Trials of Supremacy Iron Supremacy Crimson Supremacy Mayhem Supremacy Supremacy Eververse Supremacy (new game mode. Losing team loses all their bright dust. ) Supreme Supremacy (new game mode. Losing team receives WEASAL code and internet crash lasting Bungie’s patented 10 minute cool down.) All public events will be Spire Integration. New Campaign to be fought across 3 locations. Titan, Mercury, and the Dreadnaught. (Battle new enemy Luke Noseworthy and his minions, a cross breed of hive and vex called the Hex, all while finding materials to rebuild the Tower again after a devastating attack on the last city.) A new Raid Lair aboard the Leviathan. (Yes! We ain’t done there yet! Luke Noseworthy awaits with the Hex, and he’s got 600 new shaders!) No Sparrows in game anymore other than one 30 second portion of a reskinned strike on Mercury. 1 new strike! 30 returning fan favorite Exotics! 1 new Exotic sidearm! With all the fans up in arms over the current state of D2, Bungie will take ample time to develop what will likely be the last Destiny. So, look for this new and improved Destiny sequel, Destiny 3, in 2025. Until then, look for increased free events and one large expansion for D2 in 2024.

      • Because this was the vision for PVP that Jon Weisznewski had. He wanted a game that FORCED players to play slowly and tactically....and have to rely upon team-based volume of fire. The problem is that this is not why people play games like Destiny. If I wanted that experience I'd go play CSGO....or Rainbow Six.

        • If i've said it once i've said it ... probably twice now ... they need to separate PvP and PvE and then they can change whatever they want in PvP without screwing PvE players over, we all win.

          Let me 1st clarify that I HATE Destiny 2 PvP and all the boring teamshotting ect ect. But not paying attention to feedback? For AGES ppl whined about class/character Abilities being too dominant over gunplay, and for just as long people complained about snipers and shotguns being the main focus when it 'should' be primaries. IMO all they really ought to do with weapons is return Rifles as primay/Kinetic weapons, keep specialty guns like Sidearms, SMGs (maybe handcannons idk) as secondaries. As it stands we all know that Bungie can't balance Snipers and Shotguns so leaving em as heavies is the best course of action, unless you want special ammo to be as scarce as heavy again that is. Also I think making abilities great again is very much in order, they have fixed things up okay, but still.

            I didn't read your wall of text because I knows it's just whingeing about not having a power fantasy to stroke your ego with. But it's funny that you mentioned being unique. What unique weapon do you use? I'm assuming you don't use meta weapons like Better Devils, Old Fashioned, either Mida, Uriels Gift, Positive Outlook, or Darkest Before. If you do then shut your mouth, you hypocrite.

              The 2 Primary system only exists to make us weaker in PvP. That's it. This game revolves around their pathetic PvP offering. Balance there is what they care about the most........not fun. Heck, how can you make such a huge fundamental change and give the players nothing with it. Who the hell thought that was a good idea???? If Bungie had been smart, the 2 Primary system could have been a success by giving players better PvE perks with it. No imagination whatsoever.

                • Just give me back y1 with the handcannons and heavy hitting pulses and I'll be happy. That's when primaries could outgun secondaries and if you died to a sniper or shotty you were just a crybaby that brought the game to it's current state. It actually took skill and placement to move around the map with secondaries then amongst all OP primaries.

                  They did it because the game is a shooter and Destiny 1 was riddled with people in PvP only using snipers and shotguns cos they were one hit kill weapons. No one enjoyed being pinged from across the map by some one with a 1k yard stare. No one enjoyed teams of players running around with matadors. That is why everyone screamed day after day to nerf this and nerf that. Hell even after they changed the ammo situation all anyone did was equip icebreakers and no land beyond because people needed their one hit kill gun rather than play the game as a shooter. Frankly I'm overjoyed they fixed the game. I may get team shot but at least it's a fight. You only need to see the amount of people scrambling for the power weapon ammo so they can cower behind walls with swords or use Colony to see that this option is far better than how it was in D1. They do need to improve PvP by adjusting or changing the maps, but the weapon system (For pvp) seems fine to me.

                  • This isnt COD. You should not spawn with 1sk weapons. Lower ttks down 25%. Lower cooldowns 25%. Asap In the long run bring back green boxes. 4-8 per map. 45 second respawns. These give sniper/shotty/fusion ammo if you have one equipped. Purple boxes stay the same and give ammo for rockets and GLs.

                    The people that say they like the 2 primary system, are the same people that cried "NERF REEEE!" for 3 years. They're the reason D2 sucks. PvP is a cancer that has killed the franchise.

                    • We've all been asking for months and months. Hell I was asking for this option within the first week of the game release. This loadout is what is ruining destiny 2.. But for whatever reason BUNGIE DON"T SEE IT!!!

                    • Most people griping about pvp never really played D1 pvp or have awful memories. Yeah, they could up gun damage a bit so the game isn't so centered around death balling and focused fire for 95% of the kills, but compared to D1 this pvp is way better. The whiners either don't remember how no skill and shit pvp used to be in D1, or they're no skill cheese babies who want their cheese back because they can't aim multiple shots to secure kills, as is required in the current implementation of pvp.

                        And no one is saying remove energy just put the useless powers into the energy along with those guns. Bring back some good snipes with classic scopes. Tone down the range a tad on shotties. Original vanilla in production d1 had weapons like hand cannons you could put into the special slot. Along with snipes and shotties. More variety the better. If someone wants to run hand cannon snipe or hand cannon scout. Let them. I can’t count the number of times I run into kids camping lanes with a scout. Then trading off with a teammate when he’s losing for me be dead. In those moments I would’ve domed both with my snipe and punish them for camping in d1. Lower ttk to d1 standards, increase movement speed by 20%. Bring back Titan skating (maybe with an exotic) and bones. Add something for warlock. Buff abilities. Charge rates. Bring back random rolls or special mods that add perks. What happened to arms day (one of the coolest things about taken king dlc). What happened to the cool ass feature you added in y3. Random vendor rolls every week. Give me a reason to login bungie! Do something with shoulder charge (again maybe an exotic that makes it a one bang). as it’s useless. Bring back lightning nades initial pulse. The problem with lightning was the initial pulse was out of radius. Making for broken kills sometimes. Now you can walk away from one easy. I could go on. Add more customization to the skill trees. Give us shit to do. No more teams against solo. More game modes. Oh and when you release d3. Keep what you worked on even the d1 Content. But add far more than you did here if you’re gonna label it with a 3. Our guns should be waiting from our old grind in our vault with near unlimited slots. Dedicated servers, 60 FPS. It’s 2018 bungo. And you may salvage your game.

                          I agree with everything but rng rolls.. im fine without them as for two primaries, I dont run 2 auto rifles so it doesnt feel like two primaries, I run with a SMG or Sidearm and then a primary.

                        • The kicker for me in PvP is poor game flow. There's a myriad of reasons like spawning being dreadfully aggressive. That or supers are stupidly skill less, though thankfully they wised up a bit and made them at best 2 times per match. Abilities suffer the opposite problem, intentionally weak to be combined with eachother or guns to create combat interest but low up time. What they need to do is make abilities and super uptimes way more frequent. Abilities as they are just need more uptime, maybe more options for players to counter otherwise are fine. Supers just need to be redesigned to give players options and play better for the victim namely. Nova bomb is the best example of why supers are poorly designed currently. Quick instant kill with nothing for the victim to actually do. I would rather them make nova bomb something you charge for that guaranteed kill or otherwise you can do it quickly but it's not guaranteed. It gives the user options in a fight, and it gives the victim a chance to survive in some manner. In any case that's the issue with PvP lack of options and poor design. I remember that their basic design was it's fun to use and fun to have it used against you. Can't say I am having fun when I just instantly die.

                          • Game is just a mess my man. I agree with most of what you said. The fun is gone from the game. And also the skill gap. The time to kill and gun damage was right around the house of wolves. Only thing that needed a buff was auto rifles really. Things that needed a tune up were thorn and last word. Then they decided to just ruin everything. No point in using a high impact scout. It’s a 4 shot kill like mida. Lol. This game just wasn’t well thought or planned. Could’ve atleast kept the same damage as the previous installment then we would see some fun primary engagements. They should’ve embraced things like Titan skating and if it got too much add maneuverability options to the other classes if op. They should’ve embraced what made the original so fun.

                          • PvP is actally playable if your not a ridlen infused man child. People's "fond" memories of D1 is just Fel Winter's Lie, and Lucky Shot body snipers.
